I know i’ve been a bit radio silent over here but!! I have been working on drawing more gems slowly but surely!! Just this last week i was working on some Lustra Gems to share with y’all
On Homeworld, they’re a high ranking and very rare gem who tag along with fragile rebels, not only as an entourage, but also as some sort of guard. While short and not looking like much, Hawks Eye’s are very sneaky and very strong, and it takes quite a lot to make her poof!! She’s able to create hard light temporary constructs within her line of sight, such as walls, weapons, and even decoys! This particular one has escaped to Lustra with her friends, developed a relationship with Blue Quartz, and acts as a big sister to most of the gems!
Sunstones will have more lore posted in my next update, but, this one was considered quite the defect due to her coloring and overall happy disposition compared to her ‘sisters.’ Broken at some point by the Sunstone’s manager, she had quite the incentive to leave Homeworld to Lustra with the others, practically glued to Snowflake Obsidian’s leg. In fact, she has a huge crush on Snowflake, ever since they fused. She respects hers and Girasol’s relationship, but she always regrets not making a move sooner.
Charoite’s are therapist gems, able to tap into the gem’s being to try and find the root of their troubles. She can calm practically any gem out of a rage, make them feel better with a touch if they’re sore, or even dig into a gem’s past settings to see if they’ve been rejuvenated, and find out why. Now although she likes doing that, she tends not to do it on Lustra because she believes in personal space. If they come to her and ask, of course she will, but usually she tends to just chill out and meditate in her room, often alone of her own choice.
Euclase’s are pilots for solo ships! They tend to be tied to their one-gem speeders for years on end, going wherever they need to go and doing whatever it is they need to do. They have an insanely good sense of direction, thanks to their innate compass-like internal structure, and they have a killer lock on ability! With an ability to shoot magnetized lasers from their hands and gems, coupled with that Lock On mean they never miss their strike! This one may have a bit of an attitude problem, causing her to be isolated sometimes on Lustra, but that doesn’t mean she has no friends! In fact, she’s made a deep bond with the Nephrite that slipped onto the planets with all the others, and even if she’s a bit nippy with the Lustra Gems, they still value her as a true ally.
And finally for this batch: Bismuth!
This blue behemoth is the valued builder on Lustra. Often getting help from others just so she can banter with them and flirt with her Angelite girlfriend, she has never needed it. She emerged much more Quartz looking than Bismuth’s should, and being blue rather than multicolored, she was often picked on as the runt of her litter. But that would quickly be thrown out when Homeworld realized that she was nothing short of perfect. She’s much more durable, much quicker, and frankly has never messed up on a build, which made her a valuable asset. Now on Lustra, she still finds herself itching to build or craft, so she’s taken up small hobbies to distract herself like gardening and ranching!
