I love cooking steak in my cast iron pan tbh. It's delicious. I keep it simple with the seasonings and let the meat sit out for about an hour before cooking. Kept it simple by seasoning it with coarse salt and pepper. Seared over the stove and tossed it in the oven for a nice medium finish. Topped with butter and allowed it to sit before consuming. Have I mentioned that I love my cast iron pan? Got the backyard cleaned up and the "natural" part leveled out. Next step will be planting some "privacy trees" and landscaping my future "sitting area." Hard to tell in this photo, but the latter will be right behind that tree in the foreground (which I'm going to move). I'd also like to add more birdfeeders and such once I have some trees in place. Oh, and I'm going to have a patio, too - grill and fire pit!
