Ahhhhhhhh see I haven't seen any of those in the wild, although I've seen quite a few deer due to there being a couple of deer farms around the place. *A* It sounds so exciting to me to be able to see those too. But yes, you'd probably be pretty surprised to find just how many 'exotic' animals you can see on an everyday basis around here. <333333

asldkfjasddslksdk it's not offensive at all! And as far as I know, kookaburras are common throughout Australia. I dare say there are some areas where they're not so common, but wherever I've visited there have almost always been kookaburras. I can't remember if I saw any when I went to Uluru and such, but wherever there's water you're quite likely to find kookaburras, since they're kingfishers. <3

Also, you only sound ignorant if you assume things, like that I ride a kangaroo to school or something. Which I don't. ;3

o m g saw a post on my dash about modern toilet and suddenly

FLASHBACK

omg i'm crying over this AHAHAHA my experience with that restaurant jfc

it wasn't so much about the restaurant but it was more about my journey there

so i was with this girl right here and two guy friends in taiwan during OCAC. it was the weekend so we were in 西門町 shopping but we got hungry. and so we set out to find modern toilet.

except, we didn't know it was called modern toilet so we just called it "the toilet restaurant" in chinese. and we also didn't know where it was.

by this time we were pretttty familiar with 西門町 but of course we'd only been there for like 3 weeks at that point so it's not like we knew the streets by heart. also, the best chinese speaker there was brenna and the rest of us were way below her level (ok i'll give my friend ryan some credit but he was too freaking shy to ask people for help. martin's chinese is horribly toned and i just cannot form sentences to save my life LOL). 

so basically we were asking everyone "excuse me, do you know where the toilet restaurant is?" and obviously they were like "what the fuck? what kinda place is that?" LOL i think it's cause "restaurant" in chinese can also be interpreted as just "store", so they thought we were asking for a place where we could buy toilets fml

and we literally took at least an hour and 45 minutes LOOKING FOR THAT DAMN RESTAURANT. because we were hungry for so long our stomachs started getting all suicidal and you know that stomach pain where you don't eat for a long time and your stomach starts digesting itself?

yeah it was like that LOL. and ALL of us had really bad headaches at the least, or migraines at the worst. we had to stop searching a few times because one of us would get too nauseous to keep walking omg.

SOMEHOW we found it. it was really hard to find especially cause it was on the second floor. we got there and it was totally full and we were told had to wait (i forgot how long... at the least it was 20 minutes, at the most it was an hour. i think it was about 30~40 minutes).

so what the fuck we were all about to like throw up and plus we all kinda lost our appetite so we were kindaaaa debating on just leaving but then they were like "wait jk we have seats for you."

and so we sat down on the cool toilet seats and the table was a bathtub with glass over it and people put notes in the bathtub so we did too haha

then we ordered our food

and it wasn't even that good

it was REALLLLY overpriced too. like i'd rather go to a night market instead of eat there again ??? the only reason i would recommend going there is just cause you get to eat out of a toilet. which tbh you get over within the first 5~10 minutes.

i don't even think we could finish because we were all feeling really sick and the food was not even that good. like, it was average... mediocre kinda.

that day was HORRIBLE tbh AHAHAH I MEAN when you're suffering from severe stomach pains and migraines and you just want to go home and eat, it's hard to keep asking random people, "excuse me, where is the toilet restaurant store ??"

jfc. 

ngl the ambience of the place is really fun and cute though. i had to avoid leaning back though because the toilets don't have a backrest LOL AND THEN I KEPT CRASHING INTO THE WALL WHICH WERE COLORFUL PIPES AND OW MY HEAD IT DID NOT MAKE MY HEADACHE ANY BETTER ??

anyways flashback is over. good times, good times. LOL
