hey, i saw your posts about ocac 2012. i hope im not creeping you out if i ask a question. oh and i dont have a tumblr so i can only ask you anonymously. Anyways, i was wondering if it was a really intense studying program at the tamkang one. like how is your daily schedule overthere like?
Well, Monday through Friday are primarily classes (like... 8 or 10 hours a day??? It's quite a lot) and you do learn a lot, but it's not bad, I suppose. To me, it didn't feel like I was being forced to do anything, and I actually enjoyed my classes. I did notice, though, that my classes in A3 were much more fun than when I was in C4 (as the classes get harder, there's less time to joke around and things get stricter) but that's not to say that I didn't have fun in C4.
Although the day is mostly of classes, and it's intensive in the sense that all you do is learn Chinese and culture, in my honest opinion, it's not difficult by any means. Perhaps effort is needed, but it honestly fully benefits you to work relatively hard in class because it'll help you live in Taiwan more comfortably.
I don't want to make this answer too long, so I'll just post a link to my other blog where I wrote daily posts of my time in OCAC 2012. Check Weeks 1~6; that's when I was in TKU. It's still under construction though, sorry about that. If you still have questions, feel free to drop me some! (It would be preferred that you do that at helloformosa though!)
