thinking bout how you and firefly was childhood friends that never got to confess to eachother cuz your life was cut short

It was late night as you’re accompanying her home because she’s sick. Firefly has a crush on you ever since the two of you met when you were children. It was a cold night while the two of you were enjoying eachother’s company. She let out a smile not knowing what was about to happen. Just as about she was about to tell you about her day, someone came and almost stabbed her in the back. If it weren’t for you she would’ve gotten herself stabbed.

“SOMEONE! PLEASE HELP!” it was late at night, away from the city. She looked down at you with her teary eyes, her grip tightened at the hem of your shirt while you let out a weak chuckle. Her eyes sparkled under the moonlight while all she sees are red. She couldn’t see anything but you. While waiting for the ambulance to come, she had her blouse covering the place that stabbed you to stop the bleeding.

“please… you’ll be fine..” her voice were shaky, she placed her hand over your cheek while cursing under her breath because the ambulance was so slow. You could only muster up a smile while looking up at the stars shining down at the two of you being the only witness to this tragedy.

“send my regards to our friends…” you’re at the edge of passing out but you kept yourself awake for her. To confess to her. “and… i have something to say. I.. love.. you.” her eyes went wide as she grits her teeth. “why now..? out of all times..” she said as more tears keep falling down her face. Her heart thumping loudly against her chest from both nervousness and also fear from the thought of you passing.

“live for me.”

The robot was now standing ontop of a grave. It was molded and corroded by time as they stared down at the grave. How many years has it been? they don’t know but all they knew was that they placed another bouquet of flower on top of the grave. “its been too long, my old friend.” their voice was deep and laced with a hint of sadness in it. “i did what you last requested of me-“ they tried so hard to not choke at their words while looking up into the same night sky that had witnessed the tragedy of them on that fateful night.

“i live, for you.”
