I live with the fear and knowledge that right now my family could be taken at any moment, and forced back into a war zone.

I live with the fear and knowledge that I will likely never be able to transition as I need to.

I live with the fear and knowledge that my body is no longer something I am allowed to control.

And I live with the knowledge that my family, people who claim to love me and my mom and my abuela and my tias, are the ones who voted like that. And not only was this preventable, but that it was the inaction of so many that caused this.
