In other news, I’m thinking about adapting a few meta-articles on writing that I have over on AO3. The current ones use Johnlock to teach examples that strengthen prose writing. Should I leave the fandom inspiration and just clean them up (I’ve improved VASTLY in the past three years, IMO), or should I erase the serial numbers?

Re-Building My Blog

So, some of you followed the "pruholcombe" url already. I waved my fingers, made some magic happen, and put this one onto its own account. If you look, the one you were already following is now "prooholcombe." Once I get done mining posts from it, it will be deleted. So I would *love* if you followed this one instead. :D

"Why in hell would you do this?" you may be asking. It's a fair question.

Short and sweet? I want to keep this one far, FAR away from my fandom tumblr, where I occasionally post NSFW stuff. You can still follow that one, by all means. It's just that this one is now its own separate account so I don't accidentally post some hella johnlock or stucky on this blog, for those who aren't so much into that.

Still considering doing a fandom Friday thing, where I let my hair down over here, but I'll still try to find ways to make it writer-y, because I am a boring sod.

Shit To Accomplish This Week (STATW)

Catch up all the way on dishes! Homg. (Did one load today, going to do another before bed.) UPDATE: almost done with them finally! :D :D :D :D

Catch up all the way on laundry! Jfc. (Washed and dried one load, about to switch out another! Need to do hella folding—will probs do after kids go to bed, while listening to WTNV)

Catch up somewhat on crit! (I owe surelymeretricious and snogandagrope [if she still wants it—I know it’s been forever, my many apologies, Snog!] on fandom stuff, hopecook and ahollowforest on original stuff, and about five more people on Scrib)

Work on the Kharthur story for intricatearticulation (because REASONS. :D)

We’re not even going to THINK about TNOUL this week, tbqh.

Fax in the stuff for Medicaid because going to doctors and shit. (This is due on Wed.)

Find out/help out with My House shit (can we work on the underpinning while Wayne’s at work? How the fuck are we going to buy the shit to fix the underside of our house when we have no moneys? WHAT’S HAPPENING HERE?!)

—Eat breakfast —Write some shit —Fill out some paperwork (no, seriously, please, someone ride my ass about this, I NEED to get this done!) —ALL THE MOTHAFUCKEN LAUNDRY OMG.

9:30: I’ve eaten breakfast and shot off an email I needed to send (paunfar and 3rockstarproblem, be on the lookout!); about to gather a load of towels and start those before sitting down to do the writing thing.

1:45 I have folded and put away 1 load of laundry (2 more waiting in baskets), am washing another and drying yet another. I’ve put ch15 together of my MS, and Craig and I sat down to fill out paperwork. Will need to take it by health department to finish filling it out. About to run to Spinx for wifi needed to email Anne, and then come home to fold more before getting Sean from bus and Liam wakes up. Also need to eat lunch at some point, since I can feel my blood-sugar bottoming out.

5:00 I've gotta fold the towels, the last load is drying, and I accidentally wrote another scene to TNOUL.

My Questions: 

1. What is your favorite holiday?

I might have to say that Valentines day is my favourite just because i am so affectionate. I may not be very romantically involved right now but i just like displaying affection so an excuse to do a lot of it is fun(plus its near my birthday so fun!) 

2. What’s the best birthday you’ve ever had?

I have actually no idea... I dont do a lot for birthdays but in 2012 February i went to see West Side Story for the first time live at a pretty fantastic theatre downtown in my city(but i have moved since then so it was also the last birthday with some of my best friends ever) I loved it and I got to spend time with people i loved so much fun! 

3. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

I may have a map full of pins on my wall of dreams on the subject but i certainly cant make a decision...Id like to just start in London and backpack to Amsterdam meeting as many people and seeing as much as possible in between(that seems kind of like cheating but it was a really hard one for me!) 

4. If you were going to be on a TV show you watch, what would it be?

I am pretty sure most of the ones Id pick have been cancelled, but i think Id pick Firefly. I just love how much the characters interact the way they do and the dialouge is spectacular! Id have picked Buffy the Vampire slayer but the firefly set just beacons to me!!!

5. How did you start watching your favorite show?

I just kind of k new a little about it and actually read something about it in this book full of geek-culture references through short stories(geektastic if youve ever read it) and i wanted to see what it was and it was like instant hook and then it just got so much better and it was full on addiction and absolute love(Buffy the Vampire Slayer if you were wondering). 

6. What makes you happy when you’re having a bad day?

When I make someone else happy or when i am interacting with certain friends i have. Some people are just pleasant and i know some and they just make me want to be happy through their kindness and adorableness!(bonus: i made a post today about one such instance that is on my blog. One of my favourite moments with one of my friends and i posted it this afternoon around three so check it out on my blog if you want!) 

7. Favorite TV character?

I really don't know and honestly i was having a significantly profound conversation with a friend about how i cannot pick favourites and how strange it is to do so. I am going to say that among them are Anya Jenkins, Tara Maclay, River Tam, Chuck Bartowski, Neil Caffery, Malcom Reynolds and so many more! Youll see examples if you ever look at my blog, trust me...

8. Favorite meal?

Another favourite... well i really like a really good breakfast which consists of: A chocolate croissant, an apple, orange or many other fruits i like, and a cup of Earl Grey tea with sugar in my Star Trek TNG mug! Ah! Okay maybe i have one favourite... :-) 

9. Favorite subject in school?

I like physics but currently the most physics studying i do is personal, conceptual physics is pretty boring, and also maths! But i am a huge Art history nerd and i love literature and analyzing it as well as writing about it and i have a musical theatre class that basically keeps me going all the time( I love theatre!) so... again... favourites are impossible! 

10. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?

I have a bull-boxer dog who is black but has white fur around her nose and on her feet. Her name is sox because of the white feet(it looks like she is wearing socks it is so cute!!) But she sheds like a mother and it gets all over my bed because she sleeps on my bed. 

11. What is your dream job?

Truthfully I am hoping to get a Ph. D in physics and become a professer for a great university so i can both teach what i love to people who love it but also have my own studies and career! But my DREAM job is to be a Broadway performer because of how much i love seeing and performing in musicals or to be a Shakespearean actor because i love his works!
