i haven't liked hopper since he said “You wanna go back to the lab? I can make that happen.” (or something along the lines of that) in season 2. because what the fuck was his problem they should have killed him off

my 2:30am hot take is that hopper deserved to be called a piece of shit to his face bc he is, in fact, a piece of shit this season. everyone saying mike should respect hopper sounds like a boring ass oldest sibling who’s all like “respect your elders!!” like nah hopper is an adult who regularly gets violently angry with mike and el over nothing serious or unusual of teenagers and he made mike think his grandma was fucking dead bc hoppers an adult acting like a child who can’t sit down and have one fucking conversation. so yeah I fully support the younger sibling “fuck authority demand respect from everyone, even the people older than you” mentality mike displays when calling hopper a piece of shit. you go, mike. he is a piece of shit.

Unpopular Opinion: I still love Hopper's character

I don't have anything to add to that, yeah he was a drunk and didn't need to go so hard at Mike and emotionally manipulate Joyce but like 🤷‍♀️ was it really such a shock? I didn't see anyone crying this much about Hopper last season when he was being a controlling dickwad father to El. Y'all were too caught up with Billy and this season didn't have much to nitpick at so you all suddenly remembered Hopper was a bad tempered, drunk, controlling, manipulative person.

Anyway. He's gonna come back next season just to spite you all because that's the kind of asshole he is anyway so..... thanks in advance.
