today i had to go home early from a faculty meeting because my period pain was becoming unbearable. when i started noticing the pain becoming worse and worse, i took pain medication, then a bit more. it wouldn't stop. i started sweating and getting nauseous. i had to leave and walk home. i nearly didn't make it and i nearly threw up twice. at home i took another pain tablet, now i was up on 800 mg of dexibuprofen. i still was in pain. i "only" have diagnosed pms so far and it is debilitating for me. please don't discredit someone when they tell you they have period pains.
I am curious: does testosterone make you go onto a non cyclical hormone system? Because I don't like this hormone cycle a lot of the time but I would probably miss the couple of days of focused productivity I get each month, and most of all the certainty that a particularly bad time will probably feel better or at least different in a few days.
Beginning to feel the moon effects again.
I am way too sensitive for this shit today.......
Women aren’t the only ones with a hormone cycle. Men have a hormone cycle, too. But there are big differences. For instance, instead of having a month-long hormone cycle like gals, males go through an entire hormone cycle in a single 24 hours.
Another difference: Men have 10 times more testosterone than women, so their hormone cycle is usually all about how their testosterone affects them. A man’s body does make estrogen and progesterone like a woman’s body, though in much smaller amounts.
So, what’s a man’s 24-hour hormone cycle look like? His testosterone is highest in the morning when he wakes up and gets lower and lower as the day goes on.
