So what I do is I take the little glass container and hold it upright. I flick it, sometimes rotate it so that it gets up-side down, anything to make sure the fluid is in the bottom. Then, I break the top off.

After that, I open a sealed thick needle (1.2 mm) and use it to suck up all of the fluid. Do not touch the needle if possible, just, like, touch the cap it comes in.

All of the fluid is sucked up, so now I take off the needle and flick the syringe so that the fluid is in the bottom of it. I pump out all of the air so it looks like in picture 3 (it can take a couple of tries because sometimes bubbles form just at the top)

I then put on a thin needle (0.7mm) and press on the syringe carefully until a little droplet comes out. Then I hold the syringe like a dart for throwing darts and stick it in one quick motion into my Vastus lateralis muscle on the side of my thigh. (Make sure the skin is washed clean)

I pull back to see if any blood gets sucked up. If you see blood, take out the needle and stick it somewhere else in the muscle. You don't want to inject into your blood stream! If there's no blood, I inject it. It takes a while, because the fluid is thick and the needle is thin. About a minute of injecting and I just pull the needle out. There might be a drop of blood, but it's no biggie!☆

Almost 5 months on Tesotsterone and so is my love Couldn't be happier

So yesterday I had my appointment for my first hormone injection. Foolishly I made a 9.15am appointment. Off I skipped thinking after all these years of waiting, GIC cancelling appointments, un caring doctors etc everything's going to be rainbows and kittens from now on. I even got called into my appointment 10 minutes early cause the person before me didn't show up, totally winning at life right, RIGHT? No, got in there and the nurse was like "so do you have your injection with you?" Me "ermmmm kind of thought you guys were dealing with that? All I got was 3 prescriptions for x, y and z. Turns out my doctors have no clue where the prescription for my injection got to even though it was printed. Total waist of time. To solve the problem the nurse printed off a new prescription and asked me to go to the onsite pharmacy and see when they can order it in, turns out they can get it in that day, but only after 5pm. Kicker is I have work at 5.15 and the only appointment they have free after 5, is 6pm. End up in the waiting room having a mini internal break down. It really does seem every time I progress I have to fight for it. Thankfully Kat works close to the doctors so came to keep me company/distract me from my gradually rising anger. I end up calling work and explaining the situation and their ok with me not coming in so if all goes to plan I can still get my injection that day and thankfully I did. I'm really just fed up of everything that other people are meant to be responsible for they just fuck up. Now I have the prescription so it's my responsibility to get my pharmacy to order it, once it's in I'll pick it up to look after it and take it to appointments so of anything goes wrong it's my fault. Fucking life
