Time Is an Illusion. It may be hard to believe, but this December marks the ten-year anniversary of the first episode of The Magicians. To celebrate that, we’re running a week-long event.
While the event is still months away, we want to start sharing some info with more details to follow.
Posting time will be Dec 8-16, 2025.
All forms of fan content (fic, art, vid, playlist, cosplay, etc.) are welcome. It can be a new work or a continuation of a WIP. There is no word limit for fic.
The themes for the 10-year celebration will be anniversary, 1x01-inspired, and/or time-related. Any or all of these themes are fine. They don't need to be the main focus of the work, but should be visible in some form.

Many, many thanks to @unlifeira / EiraLloyd for helping me with the sequence of events in 4x13 (and the screenshots and helping figure out what Everett threw). I can’t watch this episode anymore, and my friend bit the bullet for me and watched it specifically to help me with a list of what happened when and why. Any and all mistakes/deviations are entirely my own—or are done on purpose for the sake of this AU.

Thank you so much for joining us for Time Is an Illusion from 12:01 AM Eastern on Dec. 8, 2025, through 11:59 PM Eastern on Dec. 16, 2025. (If you ran out of time, please look forward to our next Amnesty Week, a recurring event that reopens all previous non-recurring challenges! The next one will be held from Aug. 10-16, 2026.)
This challenge took place on Tumblr and AO3. If you made something and posted it from December 8-16, 2025, Eastern time, but we haven't reblogged it by around 9 AM Eastern on December 17, 2025, please make sure your work checked the boxes below (especially make sure to submit this form to let us know you made something). If you make something on another platform (such as a vid on YouTube, a pinboard on Pinterest, art or cosplay on Instagram), please share a post with a link to that content on Tumblr and/or AO3.
All forms of fan content (art, collage, cosplay, edit, fic, filk, pinboard, playlist, podfic, vid, etc.) are welcome. It can be a new work or a continuation of an existing WIP. There are no limits or requirements for amount, words, extent, length, size, etc.
You are welcome to start a new WIP for this event. The work doesn't need to be fully complete to participate, though you'll want however much you share to be in its final form for that type of entry. For instance, you might post a chapter or two for a new fic or podfic WIP; a drawing that you'll later paint; or a pinboard/fanmix that you'll add more to later.
