Tim is definitely the type to get married to spite Bruce. I feel like they’d be arguing when Tim is like 18-19 and Tim decides to call Conner.

Tim: Conner let’s get married

Conner: Wait what???

Tim: I’m pissed at Bruce right now

Conner: …Ill be over in ten

So Conner comes over and they start planning, it isn’t even just legally, they are actually having a wedding. They tell Dick, Jason, and Damian and they are fully in, so they call a family friend who is has a marriage license, and tell them, they reluctantly agree. They decide to have the ceremony in the backyard, specifically so Bruce comes home during the wedding.

The day of the wedding they set everything up, they rent a full wedding arch and chairs, it’s sunny and honestly gorgeous. Hell, both Tim and Conner rent suits and Tim buys a veil. So everything goes off without a hitch, a lot of confused guests, mumbling about how they didn’t even know they were together. Then the inevitable happens, Bruce comes home.

Conner is half-way through his shockingly well thought out and sweet vows (Tim totally isn’t crying), when Bruce walks into his backyard to see, Tim, his second youngest son, getting married, with his brothers standing there as his groomsmen, and Conner with some friends who just wanted to go because they found this idea hilarious. Conner is holding Tim’s hands and talking about how much he loves his company and then they see Bruce.

Shockingly enough, Bruce just sits in the front and quietly says, “Sorry I’m late”, now everyone is confused, but they continue. Once the wedding is over, Bruce smiles and hugs Tim, he just says “Congratulations, you two will be very happy together.” And now Tim is just stands there, dumbfounded, Bruce, congratulating him, asking that Tim at least tells him next time he’s getting married.

Hot take but do you guys ever think about how Lloyd and Harumi's relationship humanizes both of them? Like, just forget about the ship for a second, both of them have lived wearing masks for a majority of their lives. They play roles that are them but just fragments of them. Lloyd's the Green Ninja but he's so much more than just the Green Ninja. Harumi's the Quiet One but she's so much more than just the Quiet One. They are the only two people who saw each other as the whole and yet at the same time chose to see each other as just the mask because it's easier.

Llorumi allowed the audience to see a side of Lloyd that we never really got to see before. Seasons 1-2 was Lloyd's character arc. Seasons 3-7 had stuff happen to him but he and his character were never the focus. In seasons 1-2, we see Lloyd struggle with feelings of self-doubt. In seasons 3-7, stuff happens to Lloyd and he just moves on. The show doesn't have the time to get into all the trauma so Lloyd moves on (which plays a part to his character but can also make a character kind impersonal/hard to relate to). Seasons 3-7 Lloyd is usually always depicted as confident. He usually always has a plan. He lets go of the trauma and he just carries on. He's the perfect hero, and as a downside, comes off as kind of unrelatable. Like, he's the hero, he's the leader, he's nice but we don't really get to see overly/ugly human emotions other than self doubt. Then season 8 happens, Harumi comes along, llorumi happens, and Lloyd's character becomes more fleshed out because the audience gets to see these ugly human emotions. He's embarrassed, unsure of himself, head over heals for this girl, and he acts like an idiot. And when harumi does betray him he still acts like an idiot, his emotions are still out of control, he's angry and upset in a way the audience never got to see before. Harumi absolutely fucked him up in a way no one else has managed because she understood him on a level nobody did. But that also leaves Harumi open to being understood.

Harumi is splitting. That's literally what she's been doing throughout Ninjago. Either everything is all good or all bad. She sections herself off into different identities as a byproduct of this. When she's forced to confront that Lloyd, someone she has demonized and reduced to just a mask, is more than just the mask, is not black and white but grey, Harumi can't accept it. She's obsessed with him whether she likes it or not. She wants to kill him but she can't. She had so many opportunities to kill Lloyd in SoG and Hunted but every single time she hesitates or tries to get him to join her. He understands her. He understands she's not just the Quiet One, not just Rumi, not just the Jade Princess, and not just an orphaned girl. He sees her as a whole, her fragmented identities as one person (it's part of why he doesn't give up on her because he knows she's not just evil), and that's dangerous to her.

Idk. I think I ended up explaining Lloyd better from this interpretation but I think Harumi deserves her own post especially because I was getting into bpd and all that.
