“Oh, my God! Screw you, Marinette!” Nathaniel exclaimed. “You don’t even the lines!”

“Yeah, she does,” Alya retorted. “We’ve been rehearsing Agent Smith’s lines in case something happened to Myléne.”

Sabrina arched an eyebrow. “Even though Myléne had an understudy?”

“Well, Chloé abandoned us, so we need a new lead,” Marinette countered. “Knowing her, she probably got distracted by her reflection in the mirror.” Alya snickered.

“I’m about to slap this girl in the face,” Sabrina whispered to Nathaniel before saying out loud, “You don’t even have Agent Smith’s costume. And I doubt a field agent would wear pink with flowers and ballet flats.”

“Well, she could be undercover.”

Nino threw his hands up. “Whatever! Who cares about anything anymore? Let Agent Smith be a girly girl who wears pink! I call that being progressive! Elle Woods wore pink to trials! Let’s just shoot something! Anything!”

Adrien winced. He’d definitely be treating him to lunch when this was all over.

“Totally unbelievable,” he heard and noticed Marinette smiling and staring at him quite a bit.

“What’s that now?” Marinette looked panicked for a moment as if she didn’t realize he could hear her. “Uh, I said... uh, it's... got to be believable!” She grinned and scratched the back of her head.

Oh, she was nervous. He guessed that was expected after… Everything.

“Don’t worry, you’ll do fine,” he assured before they got into their positions. Though, he noticed Marinette was leaning in kind of close, like she was getting ready for the kiss scene. Did they even discuss whether they were doing that scene anymore?

Alix lazily clicked the clapper. “Horrificator, take… I don’t even know anymore.”

I wasn't satisfied with Mylene's civilian drawing, the design itself I still liked, but I was rushed to finish the drawing and ended up making more than a few mistakes just from carelessness. The only notable changed is I brightened her skina bit, I felt it was too desaturated.

I imagine Mylene does still have all her pins and buttons, but they're mostly pinned to her backpack during the summer, and her jackets in the colder months. I did let her keep one of her necklaces.

Horrificator is already a pretty good design all things considered, not really fitting for a fear eating monster I think, but still cool. I just tried to make her look more animalistic/monstrous. I considered doing a design that was more based on Boogeymen from mythology, but none of them quite fit. I'll save that inspo for Sandboy I think-

Polymouse has a little jacket under her overalls. I'm not sure if that's the easiest to read, but it would probably be more noticeable from the back. Her long overalls were just something I thought would be cute, while keeping them fitting as to not lose Mylene's body shape. I like her being a bit bigger, and didn't wanna miss out on showing that off.

I think she and Ivan probably like doing double dates with other couples in their class. At least for more traditional 'dates' they don't pressure people to join them whenever they go to protests. Just encourage others to stand up for what is right, however they feel comfortable and capable.

Mylene initially distrusts Adrien due to the Gabriel company being really shady in its business practices and with who it supports, but she quickly realizes that is mostly Gabriel and Adrien either disagrees with, or is unaware of, his father's actions.

Later they bond over being children of single fathers, and that's when Mylene realizes exactly how bad Gabriel actually is, she isn't super involved in Marinette's flirting plans but she does try and get Adrien out of the house as often as possible. It's her long term goal to help people right? Well why not start small and help those in need so close to her?

A hundred small acts can lead to one big change.

This mindset calls Ladybug and Chat Noir to her when looking for a new mouse, Marinette had specifically asked to be left out of it after all. A simple explanation that cannon didn't use for some reason?

Akuma Partners AU: Pairs Part 2

Now summaries for the rest of the class.

Ivan & Stoneheart:

Stone heart is more simple (not in intelligence but in personality). He doesn't complicate his words and is direct with what he wants to say. He cares for Mylene (and in extension Horrificator) as much as Iver does. While he seems aggressive, he can be reasonable to talk with. Ivan and Stoneheart can have full conversations with each other, though he can get easily angered sometimes. One big no-no to talk about with Stoneheart? NEVER bring up Kim or Chloe. While he does mellow after a while, those two will sometimes bring his anger up unprovoked.

Nathaniel & Evillustrator:

Evillustrator is a lot nicer to his other half than most of the other Akuma. He tries to encourage and raise Nathaniel’s confidence when he’s down and is very reasonable. However, when it comes to those who humiliate or push around others his personality does a complete 180. Evillustrator does not like or tolerate such people even getting more aggressive when they are involved, which usually ends with Nathaniel trying to calm him down.

Alex & Timebreaker:

Alex never thought she would one day be the person to tell someone to calm down, but Timebreaker really made that possible. Timebreaker is as self-centered, angry, and self centered as she usually is. Her vengeful extremes is hard for Alex to deal with all the time, even getting annoyed that she would be too stubborn to listen to her. As time passes her personality doesn’t really change as much, tough she at least tries to be slightly reasonable. Timebreaker is one of the few Akuma that is outright refused any chance of complete freedom due to her personality mixed with her bad understanding of her time powers. which , while understandable, greatly angers her.

Max & Gamer

Gamer doesn’t change much in his personality. He still expresses himself as the best while not taking others being better very well. Though he is willing to admit when others best him (but he doesn’t like it).  Is an akuma that is more chill than the others and doesn’t really need to change much. He and Max both are able to be reasonable with each other.

Juleka & Reflektra

Reflectra desires nothing more than her and Juleka to be seen. She will critique Juleka’s demeanor and fashion trying to get her to dress and act more flashy than she normally does, much to Juleka’s discomfort. Due to Juleka’s personality it’s hard for her to talk with Reflektra sometimes, but when pushed enough she would bark up to Reflektra about liking who she is much to Reflektra’s shock and pride. Later on Reflektra learns to respect Juleka’s fashion and self even changing her appearance to something of a mix of her and Juleka’s fashion. While Reflektra likes Rose and the romance of the two, she does not like Princess Frangrance and her views of the couple.

Kim & Dark Cupid

Dark Cupid acts similar to Kim, the only difference is his views of relationships. He doesn’t like couples and talks bad about certain couples when he can. Kim can talk to him easily, yet will reprimand him when he talks mean about pairs. Later on DC mellows out with his hatred with couples.

Rose & Princess Fragrance

Princess Fragrance doesn’t change in personality, yet Rose is fine with that. Rose doesn’t mind playing into Princess Fragrance’s royalty delusions and finds it as fun pretend play. Princess Fragrance likes her other half and sees her as her bestest subordinate. The only thing the two come into odds with is their love life. PF’s obsession with Ali ends up having her view Rose and Juleka’s relationship as not a real relationship, seeing it as a delusion to what really matters. Later on PF learns to accept where Rose’s love ends up, though not liking it. Princess Fragrance is fine with Juleka, but her and Reflektra do not get along. 

Mylene & Horrificator

Horrificator, while not able to gain power from it, still likes to act confident when scaring people which means Mylene has to deal with those scares herself. At first, the multiple scares every day were a nightmare, but after a while what was once scary just became… routine? When Horrificator tried to scare her she wouldn’t even flinch. Hell she even found it amusing even, giving good critique on her creativity. After realizing she wasn’t scaring her anymore Horrificator lost her confidence and mellowed out much. Her and Mylene get along well, though Mylene can’t understand what she says, their time together helps her understand Horrificator. Like Mylene, Horrificator also cares for both Ivan and Stoneheart the same. 

Sabrina & Vanisher

Vanisher’s personality basically… well vanished. All vengeance and spite was gone, and once she lost it she became… lonely. Sad, and afraid to show herself, Sabrina usually ends up finding her by accident. When she does, they can have nice conversations with each other. Though Vanisher still has some vengeful thoughts on Chloe, she doesn’t retain all that hate she had. She even helps Sabrina be more confident and more open to Chloe and how she feels. Which Chloe surprisingly takes well (more so due to Antibug). Vanisher and Antibug are friends in their own way, Antibug pushes Vanisher to exert herself when she wants something or she wants to voice her opinions on things which Vanisher appreciates.

 Ms. Bustier & Zombizou

Zombizou keeps her abnormal beliefs of love. Wanting to express her love to everyone she cares about. Caline does try to be reasonable with Zombizou, even when she gets clingy with her. As time passes, Zombizou does learn boundaries, yet still can’t help but want to express love to others from time to time. Due to how situational and dangerous her powers are, she is one of the few akuma refused full release which does have her feel hurt about. Caline does try to appeal this to give Zombizou a chance which emotionally makes Zombizou happy.
