Hi all. Guess where I went today?
You may recognize the architecture of this house, maybe the porch?
These stairs?
This small upstairs room?
Friends, this is the original (albeit refurbished) home where the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was filmed.
Now some history on this home.
“When filming took place, the house was originally in Round Rock, Texas. In 1988, the house was moved to its current location.
All of the locations reside in the heart of the central Texas Hill country. This part of Texas is widely known as the most beautiful and visually stunning areas in all of Texas.
The house now operates as the Grand Central Cafe.”
So yeah, I’m the idiot with the blurred face in stupid poses. I also plan on visiting the gas station (they have a restaurant there too, real TX BBQ) as well as hunt down the filming location for the remake and prequel.
(A note on that home though: the owners will not let people drive up and take pics, so they’ll be from far away on the road.)
