I can't tell you how excited I am about this. My first Merthur, and it's a DOOZY. Every word of this was a fucking delight to pronounce. I laughed uproariously, I cried inconsolably, I marvelled over the writing.

I cannot recommend this fic enough on its own merits, but if you follow me for HP content, I think you'll like this as well. It has serious Drarry vibes, which I think drew me to this pairing years ago. No knowledge of the TV show needed, honestly.

It was @aemelia who beat me over the head until I read this, and then got permission from the author to record it. So this is for you, friend! Thank you for reminding me of an old, old OTP and gifting me this perfect work to record.

Look, I know this is a Drarry blog, and they will always be the OTP.

But lately I’ve gotten into Merlin/Arthur, specifically an amazing writer called horsecrazy. And I’m obsessed. The writing is superb and hits all my most favorite things: pining, angsty longing, smut that smuts so hard because it’s porn with feelings. Can’t say enough good stuff about this author. Thanks for the rec @aemelia

In my defense, these boys are pretty damn Drarry coded: a rich, posh blonde with an arsehole father who is often gay, and a dark and messy haired bisexual bloke, who in the series is extremely magically powerful. I know I can make anything Drarry coded, but this is not a stretch!

My thoughts:

Hilarious and heartbreaking in a good way. I cried so much at the last part. What a way of writing, absolutely amazing! I'm not into Modern Universe, but this one was so good. Uther being an asshole is not new in any fanfic, so I still hate him so much. Arthur is so sweet in this one, and Merlin is a menace. Again, amazing!!
