This is Hibiscus Wind from 2007.

I have a thing for tropical fish. Wrasses are among my favorites, as they come in an absurd variety of colors and patterns. I used a couple of different species of wrasse as my points of departure for these pegasuses, and had enormous fun with the wild and crazy colors. ...I really need to return to this theme one of these days.

I made this with Prismacolor pencils over watercolor.

Hello! I am not sure if you're doing your ask game, but I would like to play ball!

What would Drill think of my main OC, Pillar? He's the brown and orange four-wheel ATV that I used when writing for Whumptober (involving a certain obsessive ship au). Mech used to be a miner, too, though I don't imagine they'd have met during that time. He keeps to himself for the most part and enjoys working with machines. He always has to have something to do with his hands (usually fiddling with metal scraps or his tools). Period ality wise, he's honest to a fault, quiet, and hard-working. It takes a bit, but if you can manage to get past his little shell, he's a ride or die mech.

Anyway, I think he and drillburst would get along nicely! They're fellow miners, so they can talk about their experiences (Pillar wouldn't have met drill back then since Velux was its own operation). Drill doesn't have all of his memories of his homeworld, but he speaks fondly of the ones he retained. I could see them talking about what they did when they were miners and after they were miners, like what they did during the war or what they've been doing postwar. Drill isn't a toolsmith, but he has basic knowledge. I wonder if Pillar is into music?
