Once again I'm living in a place where I hear cicadas in August.

Upside of air conditioner: I doubt I can survive a Maryland summer without it.

Downside of air conditioner: makes the air dry enough to give me nose bleeds.

I stepped outside and sizzled like a doughnut fresh out of Krispy Kreme. 🍩

It's looking like I'm not setting foot outside the house without one of my sun hats this summer. 👒

Maryland is going into a nasty heat wave over the next 10 to 14 days. We're looking at high of almost 100°F.

My air conditioner and floor fans are going to be my best friends.

There are perks to being back in the States: air conditioner is the norm, in my home and everywhere.

It's June and we're hitting 90°F. Lawd. 🥵

Good lord, the relief of being in a place where it gets up to high of 84°F during the day instead of 99°F.
