Turkey Hot Brown with white gravy, bacon crumble and smoked cheddar cheese from Cavan
Hot Brown Sliders are a delightful twist on the classic Kentucky Hot Brown sandwich, scaled down to slider size. These little sandwiches are packed with flavor and perfect for parties or a delicious meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1/2 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits. 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 12 slider buns. 12 slices of roasted turkey breast. 12 slices of Roma tomatoes. 12 slices of cooked bacon. 12 slices of provolone cheese. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Put ground turkey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Make 12 small patties. Set the pan on medium-high heat. The turkey patties should be cooked for three to four minutes on each side, or until they are done. Use a different bowl to mix the sauce. Grate the Parmesan cheese and add it to the mayonnaise. Cut the slider buns in half and toast them a little in a pan. On the bottom halves of the buns, spread the Parmesan mayonnaise sauce. Put the sliders together: A turkey patty, a slice of roasted turkey breast, Roma tomato, bacon, and provolone cheese should all go on top of each bun. Put the sliders together and broil them for one to two minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles. Take the sliders out of the oven and top them with diced tomatoes and cheddar cheese. Add the other half of the bun and a piece of cooked bacon on top. Add fresh parsley on top and serve hot.

It is said that the Hot Brown sandwich came from the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. This version, which was inspired by Evansville Living Magazine, is baked to perfection and has layers of toasted bread, turkey, bacon, tomatoes, and a creamy Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients: 8 slices white sandwich bread. 1/2 cup butter. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 4 cups milk. 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. 16 slices cooked turkey breast. 8 slices cooked bacon. 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced. Paprika for garnish.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 400F 200C. Toast the bread until it turns a light golden color. Melt the butter over medium-low heat in a saucepan. Add the flour and mix it in well. Cook for one to two minutes. Slowly add the milk while whisking all the time until the mixture is smooth and thick. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix it in until it melts and is well mixed in. Add pepper and salt to taste. Toast the bread slices and put them on a baking sheet. Put two turkey slices, one bacon slice, and two tomato slices on top of each slice. Cover the sandwiches completely with the sauce that you just made. Add paprika as a finishing touch. After the oven is hot, bake the dish for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and golden brown. Enjoy while hot!

I’m making some open face Hot Brown sandwiches tonight! I found a @bobbyflay recipe online. There’s quite a few ingredients and plenty of prep for this seemingly small dish. Louisville, KY is known for the "hot brown sandwich" so we decided to go to the Brown Hotel where it originated. Served open-faced, it’s topped with bacon and a delicate mornay sauce and broiled until bubbly just before serving. It was delicious! ____________________________________ #hotbrownsandwich #brownhotel #hotbrown#mornay (at The Brown Hotel) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3fRXL4HubX/?igshid=1ggxeoieglwd4
