You used to love to dance
@hotchalanche
Kitty stood somewhat awkwardly by the punch bowl-- it wasn’t that she didn’t like to dance, exactly. Things were complicated, her date was complicated. The only thing that wasn’t complicated was this punch.
She stared out at the crowd, the dance floor dim but still twinkling with ambient light, bouncing off of a thousand beads and jewels-- even those unadorned had a glow, the city’s grime far away from this event. Soon enough her attention was drawn to others along the wall, and one in particular, the one who’d been crashing at her place lately. Carefully, remembering not to phase to cut through the crowd like she once might’ve, she made her way to him. “Hey, I didn’t know you’d be here! Enjoying yourself?” A beat. “You cleaned up pretty well.”
