Corlys has some nerve screaming the word "bastard" like that, when he knows the treasury is empty and Rhaenyra has 16193729272 other matters to attend to immediately—like Aemond and Aegon still being alive—AND the fact that the rumors about her sons is what helped the Greens get away with usurping her in the first place!!!
I LOVE THEM!
Steve Toussaint and his fascination with Rhaenys in armor.
(He's so real for that)
Didn’t get everyone:)
HOTD CAST: HOW WOULD YOU MIX HOUSE OF THE DRAGON WITH MAX?
HOTD X SUCCESSION CROSSOVER.
BAD OMENS - JUST PRETEND
"What I do now, I do for her."
To make my whole body crumble with sadness in a single line. Put it in a song that makes me feel like this.
"Was season 2 of House of the Dragon that bad? Surely not?"
I wondered myself. Then took another look at some scenes from Season 1, and realized yes. Yes it was that bad.
How?
Here's a brief, and very good, very creepy scene from the first season of House of the Dragon which did so much in such a short amount of time:
Good God what in the fuckems is happening in the Step Stones?! The visuals and the narrative by the two characters both show the horror and the desperation happening in that region.
"That was never my brother's strongest suite....being KING." Daemon Targaryen is snarky, witty, and bitter. One sentence, and I already know so much about him.
The music is subtle and filled with dread.
"I will not have Driftmark beggared while our king idles himself with feasts and tourneys." My boy Corlys talking like he's about the lead the Night's Watch Beyond the Wall. Love this shit.
The flip back and forth between the Crabfeeders army and the two noble men talking about the need to stop him is an excellent visual contradiction between the two.
That final spooky shot of the Crabfeeder gives me raw Treu Detective Season One vibes and I LOVE IT.
Ugh. Season 2 didn't have even one scene like this. Sigh.
