i cannot possibly be the first one to have this thought, but the names House and Wilson are definitely patterned after Holmes and Watson, right????
like, apologies if this is common knowledge- i'm new around here- but c'mon it's literally just, the names run through (barely) one layer of translation, like-
Holmes -> "Homes" -> House
Watson -> W[__]son -> Wilson
maybe it's just me but it's almost painfully obvious and it's certainly. A Statement if it was indeed intentional.....
I fear this is day one Houseology but I'm glad you actually figured it out for yourself! I don't think I 'got it' until my mom said something about it while we were watching reruns together. here's more about the parallels between Sherlock Holmes & House, it's honestly a pretty faithful adaptation in many ways.
