CTM AU: Jennifer in hoverskates sketch

So uhm... instead of working on the Griff related stuff i intended to work on or on any dialogue scene script for that matter, I instead got this image of something that would definitely happen early on in the 1986 part of the plot: Jennifer on hoverskates (mimicking that scene and pose where Marty in hell valley rose up with the flying Delorean in front of hell valley biff)

I so want to write the scene leading up to that now, and I imagine that either the hoverskates ARE just that powerful (unlikely) or that martin is secretly hidden behind that building edge with something else that raises Jennifer up (like a mobile lifting platform or an aerial rescue platform "borrowed" from the fire watch with the help of wii guns somehow).

Who would've put Jennifer into that situation that it would end up looking like she just jumped off? Enda but this would kinda make the later almost run over by her scene hit in not quite the right way. Tbh, could be either Citizen Brown himself or her own dad trying to just stop her from getting into more dangerous situations with Martin and time travelling. Maybe even both. And that jump off was mostly an attempt to give a wake up call, as to HOW serious the overall situation they all are in actually is and how much worse it will get if nothing is done. It reaches her dad, but not necessarily Citizen Brown.

Anyways, do with that phone sketch image whatever you want to do with it.

Also: I think the hover part of the skates can be turned on and off by a button or nearby button remote that Jennifer probably keeps in her pocket. I mean it would be pretty inconvenient to get out of those otherwise, you know?

Edit: I just realized that could technically also happen at some later point in like maybe after Edna tried to run her over or push her over something or maybe even in 1931 for some reason WITH the tp!Doc in the flying Delorean below (just with Jennifer in different clothes)

For me, the answer is more optimistic. Shadow seems to be aware of how much evil GUN can do. So don't you think that (apart from other benefits) he wanted to be as close to them as possible to keep an eye on them? This is what I believe.

In addition, much of what we have seen in Sonic Forces seems to me to be his own free choice, proof of how partner-like his cooperation with GUN is. Rouge presented the situation to him as something interesting, worth investigating, so that at first I didn't notice that the military had anything to do with it. Shadow seemed have option to say, No, I don't think Eggman is up to something, and desist. Maybe it wasn't like this, but I wouldn't say he is on their leash. He is more like a commissioned professional who can act for them or independently of them (as when he was hunting his clone).

Here is a worse case. Shadow is not on their leash, but his weakness is that he seems extremely willing to follow orders. Regardless, whether it's an order from Commander GUN (Treasure Team Tango) or a request from a friend. What Maria was asking for was actually quite different, but - the second thing - Shadow rarely wonders what he was ordered to do. In such situations, he tends to really treat himself as a living weapon and mute his sense of responsibility. I do not know why this is so - whether it is his own personality or the origin of the Black Arms, which was in fact a great hive with one ruler - but it is. In the current situation, I do not believe that he really could kill the members of Jackal Squad (or at least not intentionally) - he had no reason to do so, and he is not a sadist, moreover, he was in rush. Simply - he brutally dispersed the formation. But if GUN ordered him to murder them... I don't think there would be anything to talk about.

                                          It’s gotten oh-so-incredibly boring.

          Ever since his domination took root in his world, and ever since he’s run fresh out of opponents... his life has been dulled.

          That’s why he searches for new horizons. Searches universe where his past self may have failed in, or perhaps, never existed in the first place. What he finds upon conjuring a dimensional portal is something that would take some boredom off of his shoulders

          When he steps into the dimensional gateway, he winds up in another reality- another world, post-war, it would seem. He has arrived in what appears to be the ruins of a city, with pieces of metal flung about here and there with obvious traces of battles having taken place here in the past. He gazes left, glances right... no sign of life, not even robotic.

          Perhaps he ought to draw something out.

          His right arm raises up towards a nearby building - a building that, miraculously, seems to have survived the strifes of war.... and unleash a chaotic blast of energy directly at the structure, a blast so powerful that it sends chunks of the building flying outwards for miles, leaving behind a massive crater in its wake as well as a thick, dusty cloud of smoke.

          The now-destroyed building would act as a beacon to attract anyone immediately interested... and of course, if no one responds, he’d simply move on..

          But what’s that he hears? Footsteps? No... skating? Someone’s approaching, and his red optics turn towards the source of the noise.

          The first thing Sonic notices is how Shadow should be working. It’s a surprise to see him; a good one though, mind you! A really good one if the bright, goofy smile on Sonic’s face is anything to go by.

          “Hey, you!” Sonic shuffles forwards to give Shadow a hug. It’s a quick embrace, with one arm around his mid-section due to the concern of crushing the supplies between them. It’s still affectionate though, and there’s a lingering brush of his fingers as he pulls away. “Did y’ get the day off or somethin’? Didn’t think G.U.N was the type to hand out ‘sick days’.” The sarcasm was palpable, but certainly not aimed towards his partner.

          Curiously, he leans forwards to get a good look at the items bundled in Shadow’s arms. This greenhouse project of theirs was quickly becoming one of his favorite ways to pass time. A quiet escape from the world. “Gee, you got all of this for the garden? That’s...really sweet.” Sonic looks up, bashful smile and all. “Thanks, Shads. Yeah--- I definitely wanna hang out. You can help me plant ‘em this time.”
