The main protagonist of Tails Noir, Howard majored in photography in college and now works as a private investigator, mainly taking on cases related to insurance fraud, cheating spouses, and other non-violent crimes. But when he gets hired by a banker to find out whether her husband is cheating on her, he tracks him to a shady nightclub and finds himself instead investigating a horrific murder.

Howard is a hopeless romantic, craving affection from others while also denying it and hiding behind a professional mask. He enjoys reading and jazz music, but also has a fondness for funk and rock music thanks to an old roommate of his. He once dabbled in playing the guitar, but is pretty good at the harmonica! He has a strained relationship with his mother but still cares about her and wants to make her proud.

The moment I knew I'd no choice but to love you. ? mild spoilers ? It's my one year anniversary since i played tails noir and was absolutely devastated. A certain achievement that one gets at the lowest point of the journey elevated my gaming experience, taught me that love might not be enough to save someone and made me cry for three hours listening to hozier after the game. now it's their song.
