P: “Have you ever had friendship bracelets?” 2nd Year
Gilderoy was seated beside Dolores under a large tree on the outskirts of Hogsmeade, surrounded by the back walls of buildings and the neglected bushes that laid behind them. When they both strayed away from their fellow students to spend a few quiet minutes with each other was a rather rare moment indeed.
“Oh, Gilderoy, have you ever had a friendship bracelet?” She spoke up, turning to face Gilderoy as he was absently picking at the grass.
“Aren't those for girls?”
“Well, yeah. I suppose.” Dolores’ cheeks heated up and she stopped facing him, tilting her head back and looking up at the clouds instead of him and his empty wrist.
P: “Do you have your ticket ready?"
“Dolores!” Gilderoy shouted gleefully, grabbing her shoulder to pull himself closer to her through the large crowds of students on platform 9¾. “I was looking for you everywhere.”
Dolores looked up at him for the first time, her eyebrows raised. It seemed he grew at least a foot over the summer, got a haircut, and learned how to dress, Though, to Dolores’s relief, he still sounded as if Celestina Warbeck’s throat was transfigured into that of a niffler’s.
“Dolores… Merlin to Dolores…” Gilderoy was clicking his fingers in front of her face. Dolores tensed.
She rushed out her next words, crossing her arms, “Hem, my bad, yes. Good to see you.”
P: "What a silly thing to say."
“I love you, okay,” Dolores admitted,”It's silly, I know.”
Gilderoy's face contorted oddly as he stared at Dolores. His eyebrows furrowed, he looked around, the courtyard was empty, he fiddled around with the button of his shirt, and adjusted his tie, then responded, “really?”
She breathed out, “yes really!” Dolores sputtered for a few moments before tugging on her curls and turning around to not face him. Her eyes shut tightly.
“Thats- fine...” Gilderoy answered, he was slowly turning an uncomfortable shade of red. “Not like that! As in… that's a good thing, I think?” he added on through his teeth.
“Really?” Dolores mumbled, her head tilting towards his.
