This is the “Montreal” club "Ciel" that Ilya visits when he wants to get over Shane, but little does he know Shane is already there with his girlfriend Rose. As you can see it looks exactly like it does on the show with the chandelier and pink lights.

Le Tambour Tavern 345 James St N, Hamilton, Ontario

This French restaurant serves as two locations in the show. It is where Rose & Shane first meet. It also serves for their meeting after Ciel when Shane comes out to Rose after she gently asks him if he's gay. She turns out to be a great ally. Trivia: The restaurant now have two specialty Heated Rivalry cocktails: the “Tall, Dark & Hollander” a dark and stormy but with pear and vanilla, and the “Meet me at the Cottage” which is an espresso martini.

Lavelle 627 King St W, Toronto, ON

Lavelle has one of the most iconic rooftops in Toronto. So it it fits that is where Shane and Ilya have their warmest conversation in public in Tampa Bay. It is where Shane tells Ilya that he's no longer with Rose because they are not compatible. The rooftop pool also serves for the Hollanov family moments where Ilya is playing in the pool with the kids as Shane watches.

The Pink Tunnel Shamrock Park, Ferguson Ave, Hamilton

Ilya returns to Russia for his father's funeral in 1x05. After the confrontation with Alexei, Ilya heads outside and starts walking. Ilya steps inside an enclosed area and calls Shane. One commentator remarked that Ilya looks so lonely in this scene. He's crouched up against the wall. He's still boxed in by the walls. This is where we get our breathtakingly beautiful Russian monologue where Ilya rages about his family and also confesses his love for Shane. Connor Storrie does a stunning job in this scene. This site has become quite popular with Heated Rivalry fans. You can now find HR messages and quotes written on the pink wall as an homage to Connor's work.
