#MondayMotivaton: I pledge the be a voice for the voiceless & positive figure for the hurting.
In times of need the house behind me in this photo has always stood for hope and equality, for justice and for liberty. Now we have a man setting inside its walls who is not fit to serve as our nations president. Before you say that I have no respect for our nation for posting this I want to share with you the reason why I am apart of the resistance.
First off let me begin by saying that I have a great respect for our nations founders, the vision they had of a free nation that’s core values are to promote a nation where all would be welcomed with open arms. I have a great respect for the office of the president and for all other United States Offices. I also have a great respect for our active and retired military service members and for all those who have lost their lives fighting for our rights to have a free nation.
What I do not have respect for however is anyone elected officials or not who attempt to undermine whole groups of people, who attempt to remove anyone’s core human rights and who says they are doing it for the good of the nation and for the world.
We the United States of America were founded as a nation of immigrants intended to give those who wanted to escape persecution a home where they could be free to live in peace with the equality and respect of a human being.
We should not have to fear being persecuted, discriminated against, jailed and killed because of the color of our skin, the god or gods we choose to worship or not worship, for the person we fall in love with, or if our gender identity happens not to match the gender we where assigned at birth or if we are a member of the LGBTQIA* community.
Women should not have to fight for the right to have equal pay for equal work, control of their own body’s, access to the medical-care they need and the respect and equality they just like any other person deserves.
No American should have to worry about having access to affordable housing, healthcare food and other basic human needs in order to live a good life but millions of Americans are homeless, hungry, and uninsured because we as a nation are not doing enough to help get them the disparity need.
When will we as nation stand up for all and truly live up to our nations constitution and our founding fathers vision of a great nation where we are all equal, respected and loved?
Until that day happens I will hold anyone in office republican, democratic, independent or any other political party and all other America citizens fully accountable for their actions if they attempt to undermine mine or anyone else rights. I hope you will join me and do the same.
