I found a set of curad bandages at the Dollar Tree and they had these bandages that are mostly pad and only a little adhesive area. they're good for under chest flares and minimize the amount of adhesive on skin!
That hidradenitis feel when you:
can’t cover up hs flares with a band aid because your skin flares up more with the sticky part
can’t wear an underwire bra because the friction will cause more under chest flares
can’t wear certain clothes because the waist band rubs wrong and causes flares or the texture causes flares on the back of your thighs
are so dang tired of fighting your own body and try to remember that the flares aren’t your fault and you didn’t cause them.
You are not bad or being punished for something.

Affirmations I needed to write today 🌈
Having major trouble getting sleep these days with my chronic pain and how horrible my mattress is. Depression and suicidal ideation at an all time high and I’m just.. I think I’m dehydrated too but I’m so sick of the need to pee interrupting me when I finally do get comfortable and fall asleep. I sleep maybe an hour at a time and then have to wake up and readjust.
Sending thoughts for everyone with late summer allergies and skin condition flares 😩

After being diagnosed around 14 with a rare, autoimmune skin disease, I struggled with this condition on and off. It’s been 9 years now and I’m still none the wiser of how to actually handle it.
According to others, stress, hormones and diet play a huge role in flare ups. I’ve attached a link to explain the condition rather than rabbit on about it!
From doing my own research, talking to others with this condition, many have had amazing success with the AIP diet (AutoImmune Protocol) which (after 10 weeks of constant pain) I’ve decided to try.
This diet is tricky, it’s very restrictive but has great results. It’s going to take my head getting around what I can and can’t eat. Hopefully this blog will help others learn about the diet and get a good insight into flavoursome foods!
