Hades/Persephone AU- Klaroline Version
He sees a fallen Polaroid of a woman on the grass– her bright blue eyes speak of mischief and kindness while her hair remains a gold so much like the sun. As he bends down to retrieve the image, he hears a melodic laugh coming from behind him.
Turning around, his gaze locks on the woman standing across from him. Immediately, he knows– his Persephone stands just a couple of feet away from him tempting him without knowledge.
“My Polaroid,” she says as she moves forward. “You found it.” She adds, a smile playing on her lips
As she reaches over to grasp the edge, he moves it out of her reach and she looks over at him with confusion in her stunning eyes.
“May I have it?” She asks him, unsure of herself.
“Soon,” he answers before the ground opens up below them and he reaches for her, pulling her against his chest. “Soon,” he smirks just as her eyes close.
Faydee ft. Miracle: Unbreakable
Times like this, I wish I never existed
Nobody wants to listen
I'm screaming out for help
Times like this, I wish that I could let go
And open up a window, free to be myself
Smiling all day with you by my side, love.
Smiling all day with you by my side, Hybrid.
“Let her go.” The Original Hybrid commanded as he eyed his nemesis with menace in his eyes.
“Oh, I don’t know... Caroline seems to be getting along just fine without your interference.” She mocked, a smirk appearing on her lips.
“Now, Freya!” He shouted as his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
“No,” she shook her head as they heard Caroline release a heart curdling scream.
“I’LL KILL YOU!”
“Try to, Niklaus. I dare you,” Freya said before she walked away from him.
He sat on the bench with his hands clenched into fists and growled when he looked up and saw a woman in white walking towards him with a basket of flowers in her hands. She wore a flower crown on her head and her long blonde hair shined in the Spring sunlight. “You look upset,” she told him as she sat down beside him and took in his long black coat and sneer. “If you smile, you will look far more handsome.” She advised, demonstrating with her own brilliant smile that showed off straight white teeth. Bloody hell, the woman was a ray of sunshine in the flesh. “I do not believe I asked for your advice, madam.” He told her as he made a shooing motion before looking away from her. “I know you did not, but a man has been watching you ever since you sat down. Oh, and did I mention that he is pointing a weapon at you as we speak?” “What?” He said as he turned in the direction of the man that was supposedly holding a weapon-- a gun, most likely. Before the man spotted him, the blonde took a hold of his hand and forced him to look at her face. “Don’t make it so obvious, sir.” She chided. “There are children around here and if that man makes you, you’ll be a dead man and innocents will fall victim because of your stupidity.” “How are you speaking to me? Aren’t you supposed to be a hippy or something? Love not war and all that nonsense.” “A hippy, sir?” She questioned. “Perhaps, but at the moment you are at war with a target on your head and I want to help.” “Why?” “There does not need to be a reason. Simply accept my kindness and listen carefully before I change my mind.” She commanded, still keeping her voice light. “Why should I trust you?” “Did I ask for your trust? No, I don’t believe so, but if it makes you feel any better, my name is Caroline and I am simply a concerned civilian.” “Is that so?” “Oh, yes.” She smiled. “Now, how about you tell me your name?” “Klaus Mikaelson, mafia member extraordinaire.” He said with a shrug.

He watched the blonde-- her eyes were closed, her lips parted, her dress black, and the sound of her voice sad.
When he found out that Caroline's mother passed away, he knew immediately that he had to break his promise to the blonde. Even though, her promised her that he would never return, he had to for this one time.
He stood all the way in the back of the aisle as he listened to her beautiful voice carry out through the room. Those attending seemed to mesmerized by her melodic voice and he couldn't help but smile at that. After all, Caroline Forbes deserved to have the attention of those around her.
When her eyes opened, she looked straight at him as if she felt his eyes on her somehow. As her song ended, she gave him a ghost of a smile and he nodded as he put his hand to his chest as if he wanted to give her his condolences.
As she made her way down, the people clapped their hands, but she ignored him as she walked over to him.
Those around them turned around because they didn't know why Liz's daughter seemed to be in a rush to leave.
Once before him, she gave him a genuine smile.
"You came," she whispered.
"I did." He agreed. "I'm sorry for your loss, Caroline... Your mother was a great woman."
"Thank you," she smiled. "It seems like you're always here when I need you even though you're in another state."
"I'll always be here for you, Caroline." He reassured her as he gently put his hand on her shoulder. "Always," he repeated.
"Can you be here for me now?" Caroline wondered as her eyes filled up with tears and her bottom lip trembled.
"Of course, what is it that I can do?" Klaus asked, his voice low and genuine.
"Show me happiness," she admitted. "I feel as if I am being suffocated. I need to get out of here before I do something unforgivable."
"Then allow me to show you the way. I know exactly where we can go."
"You do?" Caroline asked as her eyes widened and her dim blue eyes seemed to light up again.
"Yes," he nodded. "Shall we?" He questioned as he held out his hand for her to take.
"We shall," she nodded. "Thank you, Klaus."
