── .✦ Sunday
To say he was perplexed as he stared at the small, gray object nestled against your palms was an understatement. He was aware of the phrase 'it's the thought that counts', and understood its meaning, yet, he was struggling to figure out your reasoning behind gifting him a rock.
"So... dear- why did you give this to me?" He asked carefully, as he took the rock from your hands into his own, his wings twitched slightly as your hands made contact with one another. He lifted it up to his face and carefully examined it. One of the lines etched across its surface slightly resembled the feathered wing of a bird... or a halovian.
"Well," you proudly placed your, now empty, hands on your hips and continued, "it reminded me of you. Y'know, those lines on it look a bit like a wing." Your eyes drifted upwards, examining his pretty features and lingering on his lips for a moment, before moving on to his pierced wing. You brought a hand up and carefully brushed your fingers against the soft featherings, eliciting a quiet gasp from your boyfriend.
"Oh, I see..." The faint blush on his cheeks did not go unnoticed to you. Neither did the slight hitch in his breath as he carried the rock over to his bed and cautiously placed it onto his nightstand. Here, it would be a gentle reminder of you whenever he woke up in the morning while you weren't around.
You walked up behind him and rested your head against his back, whilst carefully placing your arms around his waist. Sunday stiffened for a moment, before relaxing against you.
"Did you just happen to notice this? Or were you deliberately searching for a rock that would remind you of me?" His wings clung to his cheeks, a desperate attempt to hide the faint blush on his skin and appear more composed than your close proximity allowed him to be.
"Hm.." you smiled, pressing a kiss against the back of his neck, "I was thinking of you," you spun him around so that he was facing you, your hands still on his waist, "... and happened to notice this rock in the corner of my eye..." You mused, leaning in closer to his face. Sunday could have sworn his heart was about to beat out of his chest. Were you trying to get him killed this way?
"And it made you think of me even more?"
"It made me realize I had to come and see you immediately." Sunday finally looked up at you again, a soft smile forming on his handsome face and a soft chuckle rumbling in his chest. He wrapped his arms around your neck and leaned his head on your chest.
"Well, I am glad that you are here now, my love--ack!" he yelped when you suddenly tossed him onto the bed and climbed on top of him, your fingers carefully wrapping around his wrists and pinning him down onto the bed. The flusteredness Sunday had thought he had overcome just mere moments ago returned full force as he tried to squirm away underneath you. When Sunday noticed the look on your face, he was already mentally preparing himself for what would happen next. He wasn't going to leave any time soon.
── .✦ Blade
Never in his life could Blade have imagined that he would end up here one day. His arms were crossed over his chest, while staring intensly at the small pebble you held up in front of him. It was as if they were having a staring contest and neither was willing to give in.
"So? What do you think of him?" You asked, turning the pebble a bit to the side. You had carefully wrapped a single bandage around the middle of the rock and painted a grumpy expression on the front.
"Is this supposed to resemble me?" Blade's deep voice made you shudder slightly in a good way and you reached down to grab hold of one of his hands. You pulled him closer and held the pebble close to his face.
"It is! It's like a mini version of you," you said in a soft tone, placing the bladebble in his palm. The stellaron hunter carefully examined it from the sides before he let out an exasperate sigh. It was cute, even if didn't want to admit it. He directed his eyes at you instead, studying the soft look on your face. It made his heart skip a beat and he quickly straightened his back and cleared his throat.
"Why is it so grumpy?" He asked, looking back down and taking more notice of the grumpy expression painted onto the rocks surface.
"Because you're always grumpy as well." Your words made his eye twitch slightly and he raised an eyebrow at you as if he were questioning your view of him.
"I am not," he retorted. He was proving your point at this point.
"Yeah, you are." You merely received a scoff from Blade in response. He turned away from you and placed the pebble next to some other small crafts you had made, all seemingly resembling him in some way. He sighed and looked over the small collection for a moment, before he turned to face you again.
Your eyes were fixated on the growing collection, and you could feel your heartbeat speed up a little. He was keeping every little craft you had made for him and looking after them. Even if your boyfriend could come off as cold or stoic on the outside at times, he had a soft side as well. One specifically reserved for those dear to him.
── .✦ Phainon
Phainon was sitting on his knees in front of you, while you sat on the couch with both of your arms behind your back. When you had come home earlier, you had promised Phainon a gift. Phainon loved gifts. Especially if they came from you. He loved anything you gave him, even if it were two dried leaves that were stuck together which you had claimed reminded you of the two of you.
He looked up at you with a look of anticipation and you could have sworn that, if he had a tail, it would surely be causing an earthquake with how much it would be wagging. He scooted a bit closer, now pretty much sitting between your legs.
You had a grin on your face as you looked down at him, both of your hands still behind your back with the rock you were planning to give to him nestled into your left hand.
"Pick one side."
"Hmmm..." Phainon hummed, his eyes drifting back and forth between your left side and your right side.
"Right," he decided after a few seconds. A smug look spread across your face as you revealed your right, empty hand. Phainon's expression dropped and you could have sworn his ahoge deflated a little as well. His pouty expression always made you cave, the look in his eyes just got to you in a way nothing else ever did. You sighed and pulled your left hand forward, showing him the pebble you had picked up. There was a chimera paw print on top of it.
Phainon's eyes lit up when he saw it, he seemed quite excited.
"Is that a chimera paw print?" He questioned, carefully taking the pebble from you and examining it. His eyes were sparkling and he looked back up at you, moving closer and peppering kisses all across your face. He was leaning over you and slowly laid you on your back on the couch, while carefully placing the gift you had given him on the table beside you.
"What're you doing, Phai..." You giggled, wrapping your arms around his neck while he hovered over you. He had such a loving look in his eyes, it made you feel flustered to just hold eye contact with him. Despite the fact you had been dating for a while now, you still were not used to someone looking at you like you hung the stars in the sky for him.
"Showering you with love, of course." He smiled, pressing a kiss against your collarbone, "payback for the sweet gift, dawnlight."
You laughed as he continued his relentless kissing attack, before a sudden yelp escaped you when he slipped his head underneath your shirt and lightly bit into the soft skin on your stomach. You knew what he was planning.
