Warnings: you and Poseidon have a stupid beef at first. Poseidon is as salty as his oceans. Readers prideful as well lol + she rage baits Poseidon. Hades and zeus are gonna cry. I yap a lot holy shit sorry 😔
You hated these meetings. A room full of overly confident gods that aren't even strong enough to back up what they say. That was One of the many reasons why you never attended them. But today just so happened to be the day you finally did.
You were a powerful ice goddess, when you stepped into a room all eyes were on you in a single second. You had it all. Beauty,power, strength and absolute will over the frozen lands of your pantheon.
Many of Your own pantheon gods were afraid of you, so cold and unpredictable like the blizzard's you created, Your words held weight to them like no other. You were the strongest ice god in your pantheon so of course you were great.
But sadly, you are now technically demanded to go to this meeting. Odin had said something about a certain ocean god being enraged that your ice had spilt into his area.
Blah blah blah whatever it was You didn't care. So what if he has a problem with you? Can he not handle it on his own? Afraid of the cold is he?
Once you entered the room it quickly went silent. Gods that sat around talking about stupid issues their having, now quiet, gods bragging about their "Heroic" kids, suddenly quiet as well.
Hades gestured for you to sit across from his brother Poseidon. Huh? Hades and Poseidon usually never attended these meetings either. hades was usually too busy with hellheim, and Poseidon just never wanted to be around "Lesser" gods.
But here Poseidon is, looking into your eyes with an annoyed stare.
Ooohhh so he was the ocean god Odin stated was enraged with you. How funny.
Anyways after a few hours of stupid speeches the meeting was coming to it's end and you were about to go home, you suddenly felt a hand get close. Before they could even graze your skin a white spark of frost suddenly shocked the man's entire hand, Almost freezing it completely before the man quickly pulled away.
You turned around only to be met with that very angry god you had sat across from previously.
"How ridiculous." The stoic god stated.
"Ridiculous? How about I kick your nuts, that's definitely gonna be something ridiculous" you thought about saying Before deciding not too.
"What's ridiculous? Me protecting myself from a god that can't seem to keep his hands to himself?" You said whilst glaring at him coldly.
He looked at you all wide eyed as if that was the first time a god had ever said something like that to him let alone face to face.
You decided to ignore what had just happend and quickly went back home to lay on that oh so comfortable bed of yours.
a few days had passed since that moment you had with Poseidon, you thought nothing of it but that stupid tyrant kept thinking about it.
He felt annoyed and angry that you hadn't let him speak to you, he only wanted to talk about the fact that your idiotic frost nymphs had completely gotten rid of his beautiful coral reefs and killed all of his fish by freezing the waters completely.
He couldn't fix the issue entirely since you simply refused to talk to him. How immature he'd thought. In reality you were just incredibly busy. Dealing with other gods of your pantheon and doing paperwork and needing to help your people was more of a priority than talking with a whining adult vying for your attention.
But finally after a few weeks of Poseidon's very persistent commands of you to meet him, you finally decided to comply. It's a wonder how that god didn't already kill you.
When you showed up to his kingdom you thought about leaving multiple times but alas you proceeded to make your way towards Poseidon's throne room.
Now you stand in front of him.
He's sitting on his throne all cocky, with his elbow on his knee resting his head on his hand.
It was completely silent.
Neither of you made a single noise.
Until you finally spoke "This is about my nymphs freezing your part of the ocean right?" You said whilst closing your eyes and smiling, waiting for an answer. Poseidon's lips twitched downwards, he was even more annoyed now.
"Yes. It's about that incident." He said cold as ever.
"Well you know you could've just dealt with the situation on your own, right?" You said all smug, oh how he just wanted to wipe that stupid smug grin off your face.
The only reason as to why he wouldn't dare pick a fight with you was because you were a very important god to your pantheon, and if he got rid of you, your entire pantheon would quickly need to find a different god for the role which was unlikely to happen as having a perfect fit for the role like you would never happen again.
Plus do you know how much trouble that would get him into? He doesn't want to imagine how annoying it'd all be to deal with.
Anyways after a few more salty remarks being thrown around you decided to squash the nymph issue, and instead you decided to try and make peace with the tyrant instead of continuing to rage bait him.
You offered to fix everything and give him a few rare gifts as an apology to which he accepted with the same smug smile as you gave him earlier. He'd thought you were admitting wrong and submitting to his will.
Now every time you showed up to a meeting(you were now forced by zeus since the last time you showed up he and I quote "Had a lot of fun staring at you and watching you ignore his brothers glares" it's stupid I know)he'd say speeches with strange insults directed only towards your pantheon. Hah this stoic loser is actually throwing around such childish insults? Isn't he supposed to be the "Perfect god"?? What a bitch! You really had thought you got rid of the beef but I guess not.
Hades and zeus noticed very quickly that you both had some kind of quaral.
Poseidon was far too annoyed to let you off. He hated that you denied his words and brushed him off. But at the same time he couldn't help but feel intrigued by your actions. Not only that but he kept thinking of when you had almost completely gotten rid of his hand with your defensive ice spell. He couldn't tell if he thought it was hot or if he was going insane.
Months passed and you were still in his thoughts. Even if you barely saw each other now that you've stopped attending meetings. Too busy dealing with stupid gods and mortals, he guessed.
He'd sometimes ask one of his servants to go spy on you and tell him about things you liked or places you were fond of. All in the name of gaining information on an "Enemy" he told himself.
But then gifts started showing up. Random things you were fond of. Who was doing this? You wondered.
You were very curious so you decided to ask Hermes about it, to which he shook his head and stated he had no idea who was doing it.
How funny you thought. The cunning messenger god has no idea who was gifting you all of these gifts.
After some more searching, you finally gave up on the quest.
Far Too tired to keep trying.
So then it happened. When you were making your way back to your humble abode you saw in the near distance the silhouette of a tall and muscular man. Jesus...his biceps were gorgeous...and woah his butt too! What the hell is his workout routine– anyways enough of those disgraceful thoughts!
When you finally got a better look at the man you saw that it was that evil tyrant! The one you tried making peace with...
Sigh. Well shit. Now you know that he's been your secret admirer these past few days? Wasn't he a confident god with absolutely maxxed out rizz levels? Why couldn't he just y'know talk to you in person? Although it does make a bit of sense why he would do this. I mean even though you never squashed that whole situation, there was a bit of fondness on his side of things.
Not only that but he was probably embarrassed pining for a goddess everyone thought he hated. also the fact that seeing the tyrant give gifts is a beyond crazy thought..
But he's trying to keep his image okay? It's the thought that counts anyways..
He somehow didn't notice you so instead you decided to just leave him be whilst he set his gifts on your kingdoms doorstep.
You actually thought it was sorta cute, it was only a few months ago when you were swearing up and down that he was a stupid god that'd you someday get the chance to kill.
You gave it some thought while you sat on the edge of your bed.
"Do I have feelings for such a god? I mean he's really attractive..even with his shitty personality" No...maybe..? You really couldn't tell. You'd never actually had any real lovers, mostly just crushing since you were much too prideful to admit you had genuine feelings for another god or a mortal.
Eventually(although it took a little too long) you finally came to terms with your own feelings and decided that you needed to get closer with Poseidon first!
Let's just say you guys were far closer than before, like MUCHH closer.
Now you and Poseidon can be seen together talking and having a really good time. This is incredibly terrifying to other gods since wtf?? Two of the strongest gods are...are HAPPY TOGETHER?? Not in a relationship(not yet hehe) obviously but together as in hanging out.
Hades,Hermes, and zeus are just in shock and in utter laughter. They find it all so funny. They think you guys are dating even though you're not but neither of you ever bother to tell them.
Ahem with that out of the way...
As you both were watching the ocean waves, Poseidon adjusted himself before speaking"[Name]" he took a breath of fresh air before he continued. "The time I've spent with you has truly been a delightful few months for me" he confessed, his tone warm and soft. A very rare moment for the god.
"Please give me the honor of making you my wife, the queen of the sea and wife to me." He smiled genuinely.
You felt your heart beat faster. even though you knew he had feelings for you you still couldn't believe he was confessing those feelings now.
"with me we'll be unstoppable. No god will ever cross our paths and we can rule our kingdoms together as one." He stated in hopes you'd accept.
He knew you had the same feelings as he did, but the slim chance you'd decline his proposal made the tyrant's breathing stutter for a moment.
"Really? I must say it took you quite a while to confess to me my dear king~" you teased. "I was getting super impatient! Had you kept waiting I might've just chosen your brother zeus or even maybe adamas!" You laughed obviously joking.
But it seemed that Poseidon couldn't understand that you were joking and genuinely thought you might've chosen either of them instead which made him repulsed at the thought of you doing so.
It went silent before you broke the ice.
"Yes, Poseidon, I'll marry you." You said bluntly "Sigh, please pick up on my sarcasm next time.." you muttered to which he heard, it made him laugh "Yes, I apologize..i should've known you were only being sarcastic, as only a person with no self respect would choose those two." That had genuinely shocked you now. HES JOKING? OH MY GOD.
(Is it really a joke if hes dead serious?? Lmfao)
Anyhow, it didn't take long at all before you started planning the wedding. And Poseidon seemed incredibly happy to help with everything.
Hades and zeus genuinely wanted to cry for their brother. It was such a soft moment for them, their usually stoic and cold tyrannical brother, now smiling like a little boy on Christmas morning.
Now hes right beside his lover at the altar. Getting ready to kiss her lips and officially make her his wife.
This took so long for me to write lol I was planning on posting this sooner but then I just kept writing 😭 I think I kinda just started to yap..sorry about that!! Lol
