Httyd x x-men part three. (last one for now)

In a previous post I talk about me wanting to tell about my interpretation of how the gang and their parents reacted to the whole mutant thing.

Stoick: he was kinda of the I don't miss with you. You don't miss with me. With mutant. Like he doesn't hate them but he wasn't going out of his way to help them (especially in this au valka was killed by a mutant accident) That until became one. Now he supports the xmen and Xavier school and even donates ridiculous amounts of money to mutant based charities (even making one of his own) since the haddock are rich in this au.

Gobber: never really had a problem with mutants. They are people to him so when hiccup became a mutant he was like "cool, can you get me the wrench besides you please" he doesn't talk about it since he sees it like having a birthmark. He goes to mutant charities and help with stoick.

Spitelout: an extreme anti mutant. Like the moment snotlout mutation manifested he was kick out. Stoick doesn't talk to him much and prefers to stay way form his brother in-law. (I see hiccup and snotlout as cousin from their mom side. Like stoick sister married spitelout.)

Astrid's parents: not negatively but not positively. They acknowledge it happen and astrid is still their kid. But they sent her to Xavier school because they recognized that she need training.

Fishlegs's parents: viewed It more as a tool then anything else. The family like deciphering and their jobs are data collection. So fishlegs mutants was more so extremely useful to them. They see fishlegs as their fishlegs but he has an extra extreme effective vision. (useful and intrusive.) doesn't mean they don't love him they help what they can.

Tuff & ruff's parents: one of their parents reacted negatively the other with reluctance. (I let you decide which is which). But they managed to hide it and even with test their illusion worked to hid themselves.... Until xmen came knocking and asking them to join the school.

How were they found.

Hiccup: when he first mutated he ran to the wood in which forge and beast were sent to get them. Forge saw hiccup trying to use his power to fix his phone but to know luck. Forge processed to instruct hiccup to fix his phone using his power and afterwards returning to stoick(hiccup said his dad was somewhat safe) they have a talk with stoick who agrees to his entering it.

Astrid: wolverine and cyclops were sent to get her. Astrid's parents welcomed them in as they agree immediately to her transfer upon cyclops asking why. They then say she needs training and they are the best for the job.

Snotlout: gambit and rouge were on a date as gambit felt a string on his wallet. Finding cute attempt he follows it so seeing a scared and homeless snotlout (freshly kicked out and ran way without even trying to reach for stoick) rouge take pity and asks a him to join. He reluctantly does since he get free food. But also seeing impresse rouge.

Fishlegs: beast and Jane went and after entering seeing fishlegs deciphering a book of his mutation. The beast and Jane explained and ask fishlegs to join his parents agree since it will be a good thing for him in the future to have more grasp on his mutant.

Ruff and tuff: nightcrawler was sent alone. To retrieve the twin was he get to the house. Their parent, who reacted negatively to them, (thinking they are normal) start to scream at him about it as the other parent watch in guilty but doesn't say anything. As crawler leave ruff and tuff approach him with bags saying they ran way and want to join. Nightcrawler seeing their parents agrees and takes the twins with him.

Httyd x x-men part 2

A continuous of this post and more specific about hiccup mutation

Like I said hiccup is a techapath. And can control technology. That not the only thing he has. I gonna pull a Scott summers writing and he has access to a mini pocket space that function like a lab for him where he can invent stuff. This pocket space also have access to tech in space and time. An example will be that hiccup can use a computer motherboard form the year 2200. Hiccup however has to learn what part does what and experiment to know what works and what doesn't. That to limit the obvious busted powers he can get and he only get access to it. No one can enter it except him. And also he doesn't Gain access to it from the start. It a story development thing. There is extra stuff I wanted to talk about but I wanted it to be in a single post like how each of the rider reacted to them being mutant and how Xavier got them to join. But I that can wait for me to post it in full.

I wouldn't call it a redesign, but rather a headcanon design for my AU, where this female is called Snowflake.

Suddenly, I wanted to imagine what a Light Fury might look like if she were not only Strike class, but also Tidal class and closer to the HTTYD 1 style. I don't know if it worked out with style, but she became a fish...

Httyd x-men

I want to write a few headcanons of mine with the dragon gang being in the x-men/Xavier Institute for higher learning.

Hiccup: has 2 mutation. First being a technopathy (there extra to it but I am keeping it simple for now). Second being turn into a half dragon (more so 75% of one. Think dragonborn from dnd but with wings.) he spends most of his time with beast (I refuse to acknowledge some depictions of beast in the comic) or forge and mostly work as tech support with forge since they both can be a great team and both like inventing.

Astrid: can generate weapons form her body (think erza form fairytale but she can create the weapon from scratch and not just equip it.) she spend most of her time with other x-men combatants like wolverine and cyclops. She can also have a second mutation like beast where she turn into a snow leopard lady. (beast, hiccup, and her bond and hang out about it. With beast guiding through the whole living like turn into something beastly)

Ruff and tuff: shared mutation of illusions. Both can create illusion but if they focus together they can make it physically to some extent. Like if they focus a tsunami illusion the tsunami can push and make someone wet but not drown them. They are prankster of the school and most hangout with nightcrawler if he around otherwise they stick to the gang.

Snotlout: can manipulate string like fabric form his finger tips. He can use it to pull thing and stab them. He tried to flirt with every female teacher once. And the reach range form polite decline (Jane and storm) to downright refusal (Emma frost. She didn't insult him.) otherwise he hang out with the rest.

Fishlegs: can pull any sort of information in the form of a book. The downside is that the book is jumble. He like the process of reading and deciphering the book. Hiccup and beast join in sometime when needed. He likes beast more then hiccup and regularly reads classical novel and science books together.

Mom friend Hiccup: 

no, seriously, mom friend Hiccup

Hiccup is 110% the mom friend of the group. At first, he tried to deny it, but it’s so apparent that he’s given up. When he’s rlly pissed at someone (mainly the twins and snoutlout) he acts like such a scolding mother it’s not even funny 

He’s mastered the Mom Voice ™. That warning tone used to get you to do shit? Perfected. The ‘don’t test me’ glare? Flawlessly pulled off every time. The ‘I’m just disappointed’ tone, the ‘shut up now’ glare, he’s got it all. 

At one point, he got so mad at Snotlout and Hookfang slacking on patrol that he grabbed them (by the ear and horn respectively) and DRAGGED them to the patrol tower. Snoutlout denies it to this day, but never slacked off on patrol again. Hiccup still drags ppl, sometimes by the ear, if he rlly needs them to do something. The rest of the group doesn’t try to fight it. Hiccups constant wrestling with Toothless has hardened his grip that it’s nearly impossible to escape his grasp. 

Hiccups the only one that can properly wrangle the twins. He often lets the twins off with a warning and the twins usually tone down on what they’re doing bc they respect Hiccup. Hiccup doesn’t mind them don’t harmless pranks and often joins them, but if it crosses the line, (I.e, setting the island on fire) he steps in to stop them. 

Astrid and Fishlegs almost never see the Mom side of Hiccup, but occasionally, they’ll get the ‘I’m just disappointed’ kind of sigh.

He hands out chores as punishment and no one really fights him; they’ve accepted that Hiccup is the resident mom in their group, his authority is pretty much absolute. 

Hiccup once used the Mom Voice ™ on Dagur and he was so shocked he fell off his dragon and never stepped out of line again. All it takes is one warning of “Dagur…..” and Dagur stops whatever he’s doing. 

First and foremost, Hiccup is the Dragon Riders friend, they respect him and he often doesn’t need to get too authoritative but will if need be. 

The first time Hiccup used the Mom Voice ™ in front of Stoick it was to get the twins to drop something but in the spur of the moment, Stoick mistook Hiccups voice for his mother’s (who died years before Hiccup was born) and dropped the scroll he was holding with a very quick ‘Yes Ma’am’ (Stoick’s mother was incredibly strict). Gobber and Astrid laughed their asses off and Hiccup flew away on Toothless in embarrassment. 

Speaking of Toothless, the Night Fury is the only one that is immune to Hiccup’s motherly antics. He rlly does not give two shits. The other dragons listen to Hiccup regardless, but Toothless is special. He rarely crosses the line of what’s ok and what’s not, but just as rarely listens to his rider. It pisses Hiccup off. 

As a result of Hiccup’s motherliness, the group has taken to calling him ‘Mama Hiccup’ to tease him. In conversations, they often say ‘Mom, Ruffnut is hitting me again!’ or something along those lines to annoy Hiccup. 

Hiccup is also the one that checks up on others the most, makes sure they’re ok, not feeling excluded, things like that. It’s because of those moments that the others don’t really challenge Hiccup when he goes all ‘Mother Hen’ on them. It’s an unspoken rule: you’re not really in deep shit until Hiccup pulls out the Mom Voice ™

(Despite how motherly he acts sometimes, he’s still batshit insane and jumps off cliffs for fun. It’s during these moments the roles are reversed and Astrid scolds Hiccup for being reckless)
