You think that they’re correct, and your finger twitches. A low moan forces itself from your lips, the twitch reawakening your body to all the pain. Aches, mostly, and sharp white hot strokes touching your chest and face. 

You wished you could die, just let go of all the pain. A hot tear trickled down your face, over your nose, stinging a bruise and a cut there. 

How did a woman just suddenly fall from one of the building tops? Why did she look so beat up, more so than what that action would have entailed? Why was she so silent - what was on her arms? Why was she dressed like a doll?

A few questions eased through your mind, your thoughts flitting as fast as they came. Why did he do this? What did you do wrong this time? Can you leave? How can you lie about it this time? 

Your lips parted, stumbling and wheezing and you were shushed by a few people. Someone cursed at the time. Someone cursed at the figure on the building. Someone cursed at how long you were laying there.
