Day 5: Nature
wow!! i am late!!! 🤩
here’s the one that was supposed to be for yesterday (june 9th... i saw some post for the final day already so i guess it's the 11th already somewhere??)
anyways i thought stargazing would be a fun one for nature
i figured that would be super neat in the houseboat... bc like... they're in the ocean, looking at the stars from the "roof" would be REALLY cool (though not a frequent activity, it does seem a tiny bit unsafe after all. also they kinda sneaked out to do it)
also i made the boys a little younger here. just because I wanted it to be something particular to the houseboat before they came to the mansion. idk

Smartest of the Smarties
Summery: Sometimes Huey hated being the smartest of his brothers. Based on an idea I had that what if there is a curse on the McDuck family where something will always happen to the parents so that their children have to be raised by their Uncles, which Huey figures out.
A/N: Written for @hueyweek2020 Day 7: Free Day. What do you guys think of this theory? Xxxxxxx

It was a few hours after his realisation that his brothers found him, buried under the blankets of his top bunk in their old room on the houseboat. Sometimes he hated being the smartest of his siblings. He was usually the first the figure out how bad things were. So, he didn’t know why it had taken this long for him to figure this out. Or maybe, if he admitted it to himself, it had been a niggling thought at the back of his mind ever since he learnt of their history that up until know he hadn’t let himself think about.
Baby Huey finds Unca’s voice soothing, Donald finds Huey soothing. Its a win-win.

Day 2 - Big Brother
“Louie, you should stop moving.” Huey and Louie were lost who-knows-where inside a giant temple thanks to Dewey, who accidentally – yes, it was a total accident this time, he didn’t mean to do it at all – activated a trap and both triplets in red and green fell in it. The worst part was that Louie broke one of his legs.
Like they had inherited their mom and uncle’s bad luck.
“But it hurts!” complained Louie while Huey was trying to splint his leg. Huey looked at him worriedly. He knew it perfectly well – the same happened to him once in a Junior Woodchuck trip. He knew how it hurt, but he also knew he should splint Louie’s leg. If he didn’t, things would only get worse to his little brother.
“I know Lou. But if you don’t want it to hurt more, you’ve to let me do this!” he said, maybe harder than he’d sound. Louie now seemed scared.
Great job calming your hurt and scared brother Huey… the older triplet sighed. Having his brother in panic wouldn’t help at all.
“Once I’m finished, we’ll go find Uncle Scrooge. He’ll know what to do.” He explained “all what I’ve to do is put those branches on both sides of your leg and tie them up. Doing so, your leg will hurt less, I promise.” Huey offered Louie a kind smile to calm him down. Louie looked at him and he seemed to calm down a little.
“Okay… but try to do it fast… please…” he begged.
Huey nodded and worked as fast as he could. Once he finished, he smiled.
“Do you think you can walk?” asked then.
Louie sighed tremblingly and tried to stand up, but soon he fell down again.
“I can’t” he admitted.
Huey looked at him worried. He didn’t want to leave Louie alone. But they couldn’t be there, they had to find the others. Suddenly, an idea came to his mind. He bent next to Louie.
“Come on Lou, I’ll carry you.”
“Are you sure?” asked Louie totally surprised.
“Of course! I won’t leave you behind. Come on, let’s go.”
A little hesitant, Louie climbed on Huey’s back, and he carried, trying to make Louie feel comfortable. Huey started walking, and Louie used his phone as a flashlight. While walking Louie looked at Huey, even if he couldn’t see his full face, he could see his determined eyes. Huey seemed ready to die for him if it was necessary. This made him smile.
“Thank you.” He said.
“Thank you for what?” asked Huey surprised.
“For not give up on me.”
“Oh, I would never, you’re my little brother, I trust you.” Huey turned his head so Louie would see his smile. Louie smiled even more.
“You’re the best big brother ever!”
Huey looked at him surprised and then smiled.
“Thank you, Lou.”

Huey week 2020 day 2, Big brother
Low-key inspired by a moment in a certain Halloween episode of Gravity Falls.
Kinda looks rushed but I think it's still good enough to post.
Huey Week Day 6: Responsibility
just wanted to do a funny one this time
@hueyweek2020
yes, it’s that picture. i imagine that being responsible for two younger siblings would feel pretty much like this.
edit: the first one was supposed to be transparent idk what happened
did one with the og picture as the background too, but it had really low resolution. also i had to erase the original people from the photo so it looks a bit funky. it’s under the cut
