If they were ever sick or injured; Eir would heal and protect them. One of the things Eir uses to heal people is ritual involving a white tanned flower.

I definitely get the desire to base it further in realism -- especially because it’s the most realistic of any of the netflix shows, the only one without super powers and all of the sort -- but, it’s a little ............. little. His injuries and bandages looked like they’d of let far greater of scarring. It’s like cat scratches.

songofthesstars: I don't understand why they always pretty up a scarred or otherwise "ugly" character in movies and TV shows when in the original source they are much worse looking. Make them ugly you cowards.

It’s like they went, “Well, for Billy this is ugly enough, so we can probably get away with this. I totally understand not going the full comic book variations, because it’s super extreme in a universe [especially punishers’ show] where the looks aren’t so. [I mean, Daredevil is the only one with even his full legit costume and all of the other characters make fun of him for it]. You don’t want one cartoonish character in a group of non-cartoonish characters. But, it could’ve been pushed a little further.

It’s the same actor, yeah. Ben Barnes. Prince Caspian. The babe. I really think that they were thinking that this was enough scarring to hurt Billy. But, maybe they were also thinking that if they did minimal scarring [but enough to effect Billy], they could still have the character out making moves -- like going to get something he needs a weapon or information or something, and still be able to do that without constantly having people be able to point him out. But ......... even if that was a thought process, I’m still not sure about it.
