Concept moodboard: Human!R2D2

I got this idea in my head while rewatching Clone Wars. This random blue haired orphan kid with the nickname “R2″, that Anakin found and decided “this is my best friend from now on till forever”. Who of cause can fly like the devil and is just as careless but sharp minded as him. They’re glued to the hip from the day they met and not even the judging council can stop them. Naturally Anakin finds a way for R2 to become a plus one pilot/mechanic to the 501st.

Someone explain why I like this character concept way too much? I need this now.

Does any one else have a head-canon that human!R2D2 uses sign language or it that just me or is this like a thing the fandom has already lowkey agreed on?
