Literally the single most important and significant fictional character to me Ever and I don’t feel like I express that often enough?? Which is what happens when someone has been a fave since you were six years old, I guess

A very incomplete list of Things Obi-Wan Kenobi Has Done For Me:

Singlehandedly shaped my Type when it comes to favourite characters. My fixation with Sad Dad(TM) characters? His fault

Probably a major factor in why my sense of humour is Like That, the big sarcastic loser

Made me okay with being aroace even when I was too young to know what was going on or have the words for it, because if Obi-Wan didn’t give a shit about romance then it was okay that I didn’t either

Seriously, he became my favourite character once Ep2 happened and Padme “got boring” (read: ended up in a straight romance) and I never looked back

(All other Star Wars media Doesn’t Count in this case, just the movies, and every writer who has ever given him a love interest is formally invited to fight me)

And probably a bunch of other things, but Obi-Wan Kenobi Made Me Okay With My Sexuality is a pretty big one, and one I’ve been thinking about a lot lately
