...’Not a day goes by when burning issues like domestic violence & abuse are not being reported in this country & in the world in general! And the worst of all is that this issue has always been sidelined by doing fancy talks, criticising the aurat marches, dragging religion & falsifying women rights in Islam! It’s easier said than done to walk out of an abusive relationship. Women stay because they are under pressure from parents, family & then kids tie them down. They hope he’ll change one day. Still, life isn’t a bed of roses for those who manage to break the shackles. @sadafz.naqvi was a young, independent & progressive woman with high hopes of a wonderful life ahead of her! Got married to a faggot, became a mother of a beautiful daughter, became a victim of mental & physical torture & on 29th June; lost her life! All the dreams, hopes & ambitions shattered because of one man - whom she got married to! Such men are a disgrace to the entire mankind! Disgusted & gutted to the core & this is just one story out of thousands in #Pakistan! 😒 As a society; we have stooped so low that the chances of her getting justice in this country are very bleak so just hoping against hope for a miracle. Nothing is being done about it seriously - like ever coz 'Yeh hamaray ghar ka zaati mamla hai'! Stop telling your women that they should tolerate abuse of any kind - including verbal & psychological. Nothing is more important than being able to live a life with dignity & values! Stop glorifying ‘It’s a man’s world’. Break the cycle! The FIR mentions marks of brutal torture on Zahra's body. A possible explanation saying Ali Salman Alvi - her husband has murdered her & trying to cover it with a suicide. I hope, you find Justice, Zahra! I really hope you do.
