// A nice touch, in my opinion, is that the skin shows a lot of humane features (regular skin color, his face, etc) and its only after he ults that it becomes more demonic (even though it isn't technically a demon) , with the spikes, obsidian color skin, his face covered in shadows and fire everywhere. Seems like a nice balance and I'm glad we didn't get the 3rd Yas skin in a row that covered his face.

//Its something to acknowledge yes. When I saw the promo art, all I could think was ‘well, here comes another lame full armor/face covered Yasuo skin’ because you cant see much outside of his covered face - That on top of my already existing concerns on how they would handle their rivalry.

I will admit… while I dont necessarily like the twisted features… they are features nevertheless. It wont completely please me because the theme is far from what I would like to see, but I am happy for those who can appreciate it better than I.

Think of it like... shooting a bulletproof glass, you can still shoot , but it won't do anything to the glass. Its safe to assume that just the petricite in its purest form (AKA: The white trees) completly negate magic. The effects of the magic-dampener probably diminsh when mixed with the lime and ash for petricite :3

The mages chasing the original Demacian refugees couldn’t use their magic at all within the petricite forest. You can maybe argue that mixing the material with other things lowers the effects somehow, but then Galio shouldn’t function well at all if that was the case. And that’s even if they use a mixed material for buildings.

So in theory, if Lux ulted inside her home, the ult would either go off and dissipate to nothing, or maybe she couldn’t even cast it in the first place. It’d seem very strange if you were still able to use magic at all, because then what’s the point? You could still kill people with magic, then. It’d just be the houses or the statues that are safe. They wouldn’t bother wheeling out Galio every time.

But again, who knows? We’re still due for more lore... maybe there are weird exceptions to these rules they just haven’t told us yet.

// What’s there not to be positive about? We got the tiniest itty bittiest bit of Demacia lore, and out of nowhere a pre-established champ got new voice lines! That means people like Sona, Jarvan, Xin, and champs from other regions who aren’t due for a VU or anything any time soon may get new voice lines! That’s exciting! I’m always excited to see any work done on “older” champs that don’t need full-scale reworks. They need to take the summoner references out, after all. Sona has two lines that refer to summoners herself. And I’d love to see what kind of lines she might get in the context of her own thoughts about people.

We’re in new lore, my dudes. You can love old lore all you like, or get upset that “this doesn’t make sense!” or whatever, but this is the fandom you chose. This world is Runeterra. Not America or Asia or Europe or Africa or whatever. This is a fantasy world of Riot’s making, and you don’t have to like it, but I’d at least hope people respect other people’s creative work.

Bitching and moaning about things that, objectively, you just don’t like is a bit petty. If something offends you? Talk about it like an adult.

It’s also a game. So... you know. Have fun with it?
