aight so, first of all, the FUCK

we been knew humans 3 was gonna be a lot darker than the previous 2 seasons because obviously, all the synths have feelings now and are no longer humans’ slaves. but jesus christ, i was not expecting that.

i deadass thought they were gonna kill astrid when that bar blew up and i was ready to fight but honestly? channel 4 are woke baes. kings/queens of destroying the bury your gays trope!

astrid and niska hanging out in a synth-friendly bar? i love domestic lesbians

i’m kind of glad that laura and joe split up because joe was a whole bag of dicks, even though it’s not great for mattie, toby and sophie, it’s still for the best

where is my son fred? i thought they were gonna bring him back this season? i miss him

the orange eyes are a whole new level of creepy and i don’t trust them

i’m glad karen is taking care of sam it’s pure and adorable i support 100%

i kind of miss athena even tho she’s not relevant anymore lol

can i just say how MAD i am about flash? she was too pure, sweet and kind for this bullshit and they shouldn’t have even TOUCHED her

sooo now mattie is feelin all this depression, guilt and self-loathing which is relatable tbh but she deserves better

leo’s in a coma now and still recovering from that trash can hester’s screwdriver stab... smh i’m glad niska fucking killed her

another thing: where the FUCK was odi????? so he straight up saves the hawkinses from that evil hacked maintenance synth and y’all are just gonna not put him in season 3? the disrespect

listen i’ve seen all of channel 4’s “we are people” promotional videos and i have to say that claudia nowak woman got on every single one of my nerves in the first episode someone please yeet her into the nearest trash can

Come on, let’s overanalyse this baby!!!

They appear to be in a warehouse or something? Filming wrapped in this place (thanks Ivanno) and while we don’t KNOW they shot quasi-chronologically, the fact that broadcast starts so soon after the wrap MIGHT mean they shot the later episodes, well, later. So I would guess this scene is somewhere in the B half of the series.

Emily, Katherine and Colin were all in the promo shot that was also taken on this set, but that doesn’t mean they’re in this scene (Emily and Katherine were never in the train scenes in s2 either, just for the posed promos). The only characters we actually know already, in this scene, are Mia, Max and Flash. The rest seem to be synths, but not ones I recognise. (Admittedly I don’t overly remember what Hubert looks like so he could be one of the white dudes)

Taking this from AMC’s series summary:

“In a divided Britain, Synths and Humans struggle to broker an uneasy peace, but when fractures within the Synth community itself start to appear, all hope of stability is threatened.”

Could we be seeing one side of this Synth Civil War, in this image? As character combinations go, I can definitely see Mia, Max and Flash ending up on the same side.

This conflict is unlikely to be central to the story if we don’t have at least some of our faves on opposite sides, so… does this mean Niska’s on the other team?

And possibly Leo, even? Post-brain-injury, who even is this guy?

I wonder what on earth this conflict is about. Because if it’s about succeeding organics as the dominant species, why on earth would Max and Niska be on opposite teams? (We’re not going to think about something Bad happening to Astrid, pushing Niska anti-organic again, we’re just not going to think about that.)

Leaving the conflict aside for a moment, let’s just talk about Max and Flash holding hands…. 😍😍😍 My babies! Still the cutest ever Synth couple, a year after proliferation! Gorgeous! (But please let them not be only holding hands because they’re about to face some kind of Scary Intrusion…)
