I feel like Pomni specifically had a room about Gumigoo because... Caine doesn't know her that well yet. I'm mostly saying that because teh other characters' torture rooms align pretty well with the insecurities we see in their bodies/bedrooms, but Pomni's has nothing to do with it... So maybe it's because Caine doesn't quite grasp what she struggles with on a deeper level because she's new, so instead he uses the thing he knows hurt her the most since she got here?

I agree! I just find it fun that pomnie also have a room cathered to her fears specifically, cause Caine does know she fears being abstracted/watching everyone abstract, but that's such a comun fear, he gotta get creative! So despite how little he knows of her he still managed to pick a Pomnie specific fear. It shows he pays a lot of attention, is cool 'even pomnie' have something just for her.

We all love the little ‘meep’ Stede makes after his first kiss with Ed - (it is actually carved onto my soul, I’ve checked). But there is a little ‘humm’ he makes just prior after Ed says this:

‘These past few weeks, are the most fun I’ve had in ages… years… maybe ever…’

And Stede just goes ‘humm’, widens his eyes a little, gives a slight nod, looks down. He’s listening. He’s doing the Stede-thing he’s so good at - listening impartially as he did in the bathtub scene. But his wonderful ability to listen without prejudice means he completely misses the nuance here.

‘Humm…’

Ed’s talking really slowly, waiting for the penny to drop…

But he has to go even slower and spell it out.

‘So……so…er…I reckon..what..makes Ed happy…is……….you.’

I’ve tried to reflect above the pauses Ed takes whilst saying this line. We all know it, but seeing it transcribed really brings home how nervous Ed is. I’m just amazed he doesn’t throw up.

And Stede’s eyebrows and sideways smile say ‘Me?’

…because Stede still has the wrong ears on!

He has the wrong ears on for many reasons, both positive and negative. Yes, he has very low self-esteem, no one has ever shown love to him; yes, he’s never likely felt desire before, or just thinks it’s not for him. But he’s also a kind, empathetic, altruistic listener. He doesn’t realise he is the subject of the conversation. Not in a million years does Stede think the answer to ‘what makes Ed happy’ will be him.

And he’s still confused, really. So Ed just has to say to hell with it and kiss him. Show him Ed’s feelings and his own. It’s such a lovely awakening.

But, yeah. That little ‘humm’ is so full of humility and lacking in ego. It’s delightful. Stede Bonnet is delightful.

i wonder at what point Erik realized this would’ve been the last time he would ever see Charles again

now i need an au where the xmen didn’t manage to save Charles in time or they just don’t show up for some reason

Erik seeing Charles’s face on Apocalypse with likely some kind of remnants of his voice

Erik realizing he’s not only lost his wife and daughter, but also the last person who has been able to see the good in him and love him for who he truly is.

he can’t even kill Apocalypse for this, he keeps coming back 😾 stupid ass cockroach

i wonder how much he would regret accepting that helmet, once again betraying Charles’s trust and now never being able to gain it back

either Erik leaves the horsemen (maybe bringing some of them with him) and rallies the xmen to go kill Apocalypse or out of such anger and grief and regret he does end up destroying the world and he has to live with the fact that everything he loves will be destroyed

i don’t think he would even have any free will anymore since Apocalypse has Charles’s telepathy

or maybe he still has the helmet who knows

but anyway Erik is not doing good 🙁
