☠️ It's finally bath time for the original #igtdskulls 💀🌿 . . This male Black Tailed Deer skull was found as a #hunterdumped head in the forest. It was gathered & allowed to decompose naturally in a 'rotcage' under a huge Maple tree in my yard. . . Once nature did most of cleaning I removed them from the rotcage they were in and let them soak in rain water for a few days to remove/soften any remaining tissue or detritus. (We get lots of rain) . . Now it's my turn to scrub them clean : I use an old toothbrush, coconut or walnut fiber sponges & Dr. Bronners dish soap for this step. . . Once they're clean & dry I'll decide weather to whiten them or leave them natural. . . His antlers appear to have been shed naturally, (not sawed off) but most likely the hunter removed them after death. . . . . . . . . . . #igatherthedead #igtdskull #BoneCleaning #Bonecollecting #vultureculture #skullcollecting #deertalisman #deerbones #founddead #foundinthewoods https://www.instagram.com/p/CXSG5lHJThd/?utm_medium=tumblr
