so i have this one pretty close guy friend and we talk all the time but it's not like anything more than friends

so i decided i would ask him to prom

totally as friends

and he's a senior and im a junior just for context

but i was sooo nervous today when i was trying to get up the courage to ask him. i kept yelling at myself WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE??? worst he can do is say no!!!

so i finally went up to him

and i asked him

it was so freaking scary saying it outloud

and he looked so shocked and then guilty

and he said no

he said he was already kind of planning on asking someone else and he looked so upset but i reassured him that it was okay and he kept apologizing and we hugged and it was all good

it was kind of awkward for an hour after (we work together) but then we kind of just settled back into our friendship

but yeah
