Geto had made his decision and there was no changing it.

Satoru tried and failed .

The more he thought about it the worse he felt.

How could he have been so blind,how could the only other sorcerer to even come close to his level dismiss the very pillars the world of jujutsu was built on.How could his best friend,his one and only become the man he saw today.

By the time he made it back to campus it was already past midnight.

The street lamps flickered while filling the air with a monotone hum .The neighbourhood dogs would howl while the crickets would chirp .The bar right outside the school was filled with drunk office workers on their last leg of bar hopping ready to go home and enjoy their weekend.

The air was loud but he couldn't hear a single thing

His eyes dilated and his breathing unstable.He was shaking, barely able to walk straight.When he walked through the gates he almost missed your figure standing on the porch.

You were ….calm,collected;the complete opposite of him.

Sure you weren't as close to Geto as he was ( though you doubt anyone could be that close)

But really You couldn't understand his pain

Afterall you weren't the strongest

No matter how much you trained,no matter who you fought,no matter what you did.You would never be the strongest…not while someone like him exists Your can't understand his pain but you'll still stay with him

So you open your arms and look at him steadfast and solid as if to say that you're with him.No words leave your mouth he doesn't say anything either …but he understands

So he hugs you

And you hug him

His arms drowned you

Despite his lanky appearance Gojo is quite a large man,he always has been,when you first joined jujutsu tech and now even after your supposed growth spurt.His scent enveloped you the distinct smell of honey with hints of vanilla.He shook ever so often without a sound except his occasional sniffles.His tears stained your shirt.

His body was stiff and fleshed against yours,his jaw taught,his eyes were raw from crying,but you didn't say anything,nothing needed to be said

His breathing eventually matched yours slow and steady,his heart also beating at a more medically acceptable rate

His mind started drifting What would he do if you left him too

He'd probably cry…..

He'd definitely cry

He didn't like that thought so he pushed it back. He didn't want it to ruin his time with you now.You stayed with him for what felt like an eternity but your were sure were only a few minutes

Your legs were going numb from the midnight chill.So you suggested going inside,he said later

so you waited …..

And waited …

And waited

You'd wait an eternity for him and then some .

You couldn't understand his pain

But you'd be damned if you never tried
