roxy didn't even bother hiding her laugh as she watched her brother walk into the sign. "fred, you wanna maybe look up when you're walking?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. "what were you so distracted by anyway?"

roxy's hand raised to spin her girlfriend on the dance floor, an arm going around her waist to catch her afterwards. "being with you today like this." she emphasized with a smile over her face. "is just perfect."

"i’m just a little freaked, all right?" anytime someone new from their family showed up, they had no idea who they were. it was just a relief to know that her cousin was here and she was alright. "how long have you been here?"

roxy shook her head, honestly just relieved to be able to talk to family at the moment. "it's not like it's your fault. you didn't know." she nudged his side as a gesture that she'd forgiven him for the mistake. "maybe." her head nodded. she knew if anything she really needed her mom. though whatever lightness had been in her face quickly washed away with his questions of valentine's day. "uhm. you know." she wasn't exactly sure she wanted to have her cousin look at her any differently than he did now. "it was a bad day for everyone, right?"

"i know that you feel like a piece of you is dead inside." roxy wasn't sure how the other would react to seeing her again. but she could only assume she would hate to see her. but she also knew that pj was hurting and despite what happened roxy cared about her friend. "i know you feel like that because i do too." roxy said as she took a step towards pj. "i heard about what happened."

roxy rolled her eyes. "i'm not that bad." she responded with her arms folding over her chest. okay maybe she wasn't the best liar when it came to hiding things from her cousins. but she just wasn't sure how to tell her.

“okay, i’m going to be completely honest.” roxy said as she walked with the girl beside her. “i’ve literally never done one of these before.” they were currently walking into the room to start the escape room. “it sounded like a bunch of fun puzzles and i was like oh that’s new, so why the hell not!” she said with a shrug. “so if you’ve done one before you’ve got to take the lead.”

roxy hadn't gone out much the past several months. the turmoil of what they'd done still heavy in her mind. but every now and then she'd leave her place to visit family. on her way to see her uncle though, she spotted a familiar face. roxy's face filled with dread at the sight. she hadn't seen her friend since that day. "pj-" roxy blinked, feeling like her voice was catching in her throat. "pj, im so sorry-" she wasn't even sure if the other knew what she'd done that day but the only words she could manage to get out were apologies.
