The End of the Roman-Etruscan Wars
The other day @lamichicuenta asked me how my ocs born and this is what happened.
Hetalia has taught us that nations can be born in many different ways, but Arezzo, Florence and Pisa are borned from Etruria and his first wife Alba Silvia.
It was an arranged marriage between the princess of the Roman monarchy (shortly after Rome was founded in the 8th century BC) and Etruria, as Rome was still a child and could not marry. Although he was not chosen, Etruria fell deeply and madly in love with his wife, and she with him. It was the healthiest and happiest relationship Etruria ever had.
Getting emotional about Romulus and Mamarce right now. One thousand years could not have washed the traces of one from the other. If Mamarce was wounded, the blood that pooled beneath him would be Romulus’, and if Romulus was struck blind, so too would Mamarce’s world grow dark and dim. The gods created Mamarce so that he might be destroyed. And they, in their heartlessness, had forced him to love above all others the one who would destroy him. Romulus would carry the corpse for hours, and bear the burden for eternity. Mamarce imagined that he was forgotten, a shade on the banks of the Styx, an effigy of himself eaten by moss and time in a fading tomb, a name and nothing more in an account of the nations, some obscure person over whom Romulus’ triumph was inevitable. Time grew short, and the heavens small, and immortality a fruitless and impotent thing, and in the land of the dead, Mamarce lowered his hand, and drew a veil over his face, and became nothing more than an effigy on a sarcophagus once again. Crawl, child, into this tomb of the wolves, and let the ages--

MISC ART DUMP 3
I tripped over and remembered I actually have a bunch of drawings saved up for larger posts that never came to fruition so have them while they’re within my brain attention span (alot of this shit dates back to 2021 or even 2020 so thats why its so uggo)
from top to bottom, left to right:
Belarus (chillin)
Iran, Afghanistan (Two greatly contrasting viewpoints)
Yemen, bby Oman (Oman got his ass beat by one of Saudi Arabia’s bros and Yemen got conscripted rip)
Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia (this is so ancient please don’t look at it)
Tarquinia/Etruria (No idea how accurate the colors are, but I do remember basing the jewelry after actual artifiacts)
Central African Republic/Centrafique (Centrafrique was meant to be a man originally, and this was one of the first drawings I did to try and redesign her!)
Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, South Sudan (Jfc south sudan is yuge)
Malawi (Still not 100% happy with her design, but I still like this!)
Rwanda, Burundi (A Rwandan tourism twitter account liked this)
India, Afghanistan (Fatality)
