  He had half a mind to pull his hood over and leave the stranger with this blasted statue without a response. ‘They don’t know how they can help’. The hunter had never heard such malarkey before. With how long he’s been praying for, the decade of begging and groveling at the feet of these worthless monuments, demanding something. Anything. And receiving only silence in return.

  They knew. He knew they knew, but they left him to fester.

  “... it doesn’t matter. It’s gone unanswered for two-thirds of my life, and it’ll surely stay that way for the rest of it.” Nails dragged against the smooth stone as he rose to a stand. The opening of his cloak was pulled taut before he faced her. “Do what you came here for, miss. I’ll be taking my leave.”

“I wish it were that easy... People still rely on me a bit heavily.” Lumine had, honestly, started throwing herself into the title of Honorary Knight a bit too much and had subsequently twisted her ankle during one of her delivery runs. She’d been advised by Jean to rest, but Lumine wanted to take her mind off of the encounter with Aether.

But Camilla had a point. No one was rushing her. Lumine just felt the intense need to get away from the thoughts plaguing her mind. Dainsleif and Aether... Why were those two at odds?

“....Would you like some tea? I can at least make that. We can talk, if you’d like.” Even though she was currently supposed to stay off of her ankle until it healed, she could limp and use her other leg to do so.

Squeakers swiftly hopped up upon the table as The mouse sniffed at the offering before digging in. It was a fitting tribute. Squeakers was quite impressed with the human sitting in front of him. The mouse squeaked once again once he had finished eating proceeding to turn about investigating the table and keeping a look out.
