Coquina Hydroid Lovenella gracilis
They are colonial animals that form erect colonies, on hard surfaces using a hydrorhiza, stem-like structure. They have a symbiotic relationship with Donax clams. The clam provides a substrate for the L. gracilis to attach to while the hydroid protects the clam from predators using its nematocysts. Found in the western Atlantic Ocean.

tonight's invertebrate..........macrorhynchia clarkei
this colony claims to have invented pumpkins but I mean really? couldn't they have thought of something more believable to lie about? I mean who even lies about something like that????
there's no way anyone's falling for that, and if someone were to actually fall for it I think they should be deeply ashamed of themselves
......spookiness rating: 23% so stupid

dark plant shaped thing!
today's invertebrate....................velella velella
velella velella is very boat sail ship object shaped and is unsurprisingly very good at sailing. they have sailed all the seas and oceans and whatnot thanks to their wingly dingly sail thing!
millions have tried to imitate the shape of this 'jellyfish' (don't call them that) for commercial and personal ships, but none have ever succeeded as they all lacked the most important quality needed for a functional sail ship: blue

today's invertebrate.......................macrorhynchia philippina
this colony claims to know everything and tells people to pay it for a taste of its infinite knowledge, but in reality it's a big liar!!! it only knows a few things and will make up facts about the things it doesn't know about
I asked it what a flamingo is and it told me that it's a pink wading bird with a curved beak and huge red eyes. that's so wrong!!! everyone knows that a flamingo is a kind of dance!!
please don't fall for its lies. it's 'service' is very bad and not worth it
glorpiness rating: splat

"why aren't these men o' war suckin n fuckin?" scientists ask.
Long believed to be a single, globally distributed species drifting freely across the open ocean, the bluebottle—also known as the Portugues
