I have notes about which Links share what Hylian script. I also wrote in my notes that I would probably ignore this, especially since the timeline of those scripts make no sense.
Instead of following my own advice, Mask is complaining about how he had to relearn to read in Cap's time, and Echo writes in cursive. Hylian cursive. I invented A HYLIAN CURSIVE.
What is my problem...?
Anyways, here's what Hylian cursive looks like:
Cap's handwriting is prettier than that though.
Did I use this as an excuse to explain why Echoes of Wisdom's signs look like dashes? Yes.
Also, fun fact: Hyrule Warriors has a unique Hylian script. I'm not using it, but it looks like this:
Despite the costume, this is Hyrule Warriors, not Age of Calamity
Cap's cursive looking slightly like a marriage between the Hylian script that is most commonly used in the new games and the script used in his own game is a happy coincidence. An accidental nod to his origins. That being said, Cap doesn't write in cursive all the time. He probably doesn't even write in it most of the time. But it irritates Mask all the same. Having to relearn how to read and then Cap goes and makes his handwriting illegible. So not fair.
While Hylian cursive is the general script of choice in Echo's time, even on signs, by Cap's time they've gone back to ALBW-style Hylian for most situations. By Wild's time, I don't know if anyone can even read cursive anymore.
Bonus: Besides the English cursive I've been exposed to throughout my life, here's the inspiration I used for turning the separate Hylian characters/letters into a flowing script:
