Some would argue Daisuke wasn’t very intuitive when it came to people. But Daisuke thought he was good at judging others, his argument of course would be: look at who Ken turned out to be! But Ken wasn’t here, and Dai had to shake that thought off before he got upset about that.

“ Woah, that’s a really cool outfit ! ” Izuku beams— it’s been months upon months since he’d ever said a line like that. Maybe he’s stopped whatever he was doing to tell the other that, but even if he’s not on the mark- “ It might be more basic than other hero designs, but it still gives off the impression that you’re a definite, official superhero..!” ..Well, unless he isn’t one— there aren’t any visible enhancements, so unless he didn’t need one it could just be a regular outfit. ( You really have to take the mask [it’s probably one] into account, though. )
He does apologize anyways, though. “ Ahah, uh— sorry if you’re not, though. Just sort of— uh— something I did a few months back. It looked a lot like one. ”

Every time he heard an unfamiliar voice in that world, it meant he was about to encounter someone dangerous, or be put in a troublesome situation. Then, when he hears someone addressing him, he can’t help stiffening, expecting the worst. Turning meekly around to see the other person, he watches them tentatively. Though... it seems they didn’t have anything scary to say.
“This...? Um...” In Library, no one had exactly commented on his staff, but he guessed this place wasn’t there after all. “Ah, this is just... my staff.” He glances at it. “I’m not sure why it’s like this, though.” Even how he had came across it... well, he didn’t know.
