Sooooo I know it's kind of obvious but I'm learning that
how to 'Art' takes practice...
(and a fuck tonne of patience...)
I thought I'd share a bit of my madness:
I've been working on this drawing for over a week using pencil, pen, watercolour paints, printer paper, a light box, my iPhone and my Chromebook.
Because I don't have Photoshop or a digital pen or whatever, each drawing is slightly different than the other. For each one I changed a finger position, a line width, the sleeve, the hand position. (heh, at one point, I lost count of the fingers and found out I had drawn and inked one hand with 5 fingers and a thumb. oops).
I still wasn't happy with the drawing so I ended up using a free version of https://pixlr.com/express/ of which I can't save images, so I take screen shots and edit with the track pad because I don't have a mouse) because I can't justify paying so much for digital equipment for a hobby I'm cheap.
I have snuck drawing time in between meetings at work and stayed up stupid late more than one night in a row (oh hello, it is 3:36am as I am writing this).
I see some improvements but it's still not where I want it but... I'm going to hold tightly to my chest to make myself feel better the sayings:
Done is better than perfect
Better to make something than nothing at all
Anyways - just wanted to share in case there are others out there like me seized by this particular kind of madness. Wanting to let you know you're not alone...
um, I'm assuming I'm not alone ૮₍˶Ó﹏Ò ₎ა
how it wobbled some more:
